    NORCAL VIPER Sitings

    I saw a Bumble Bee GTS at the Trimble Road off ramp around 10 am. Second time that I have seen this car in the same approximate place! Driver is not too friendly. Must not be a VCA member.

    Re: Couple more new pictures.... Just noticed that there is a large portion of the front window blacked out in the rear view mirror attachment point. It appears to even block the drivers view. Is this just something on the prototype?

    Cluth problems?

    I would check the usual stuff, the Master Cylinder fluid level, make sure bleeder screw and fittings are tight and for leaks. Good Luck!

    What is the highest mileage Viper you have seen or heard of ??

    Nice program, too bad I don't qualify. I am the third owner. The two PO only put 15K miles on the clock. In the past 5 years I have added over 55K to that number. At the current rate, I have only 3 years to go to break 100K.

    Oil pan gasket: Fel-pro or OEM

    Sorry, it is not a quick fix. To replace the rear gasket the transmission has to be removed. I haven't done the front myself but it has a similar level of involvement.

    Help! Idle drops low when stopped, occasionally dies.

    I know this is obvious, but sometimes it needs to be said. Remove the Positive Battery Cable from the Battery Post BEFORE grounding it. I know, 99% of you knew that already.

    Oil Pan Gasket Question/Observation

    This was my problem! I replaced my perfectly good oil pan gasket and did all of the tricks mentioned above with no success. Once I replaced my rear main seal cover gasket the problem was solved.

    All that HP doesn't do a bit of good if they can't get it to the ground! A friend has a 2007 GT500. I mentioned to him the news above, his comment was "Big deal, they still have a solid axle and skinnys in the rear and I can't even get my ponys to the ground so it is only going to be worse!"

    The dolphin was not a VOI Special. It was a creation of a certain artist who has even devalued Lambos with his artist expressions. There are also VOI Raffle Cars that are one of kind with paint schemes that is tied into the theme of the event.
