Jason, There is a builder not very far from you. His name is Phil Eiselin. He owns LA CUSTOM COACH and is a Viper guy.

Most likely not the source of the problem but it should be checked anyway. I had a similar miss problem that was the result of a loose intake manifold. It seems like the screws need to be torqued periodically along with the valve covers.
For those interested, this is a map of most of the route that we took. It is mostly ranch land and quite beautiful anytime of the year.

Good Luck!
With an operating voltage of 13.5 and Vf of 3.0, 510 ohms would give you exactly 20ma. I don't know what LED you are using, I assume that it is white or blue based upon the forward voltage. 20ma is typical for most low power indicators. A 1/4 watt resistor is sufficient for this application...

That is why photos and measurements are a good idea to provide with the...
Dave is the man when it comes to cooling issues...he has been there and done that.
Good pictures and measurements before the rebuild is a great idea. I too had my 96 stock rebuilt and had to take it back to have the inlet and outlet tubes reset after the initial rebuild left them mounted to...
