    Strange oil pressure drop

I would check the power steering fluid. Make sure the level is correct. The answer to the questions Final GTS asked would help to diagnose the problem.

    01 rt10 fuel filter location

Much longer in fact. I think it too me over two hours to get mine done. It is incredibly hard to get your hand where it needs to be to release the upper clip. I finally removed the inner fender fasteners with the exception of the 2 outer rivets so I could reach the top of the filter through the...

opened the drivers door & something went POP

Thanks for the pictures. Glad that your hinge piece didn't damage the door skin like mine. I really believe the Chrysler owes us owners a free re-engineered replacement hinges for such poor engineering. I won't be holding my breath, however. The material should never crack like that. When one...

Pics of my Rear Mount Twin Turbo Build on my Viper

The filters are on the intake side of the turbos. I am guessing the boxes are intercoolers on the intake side. Its not clear in the picture ( to me) where the exhaust is being routed. It looks like the exhaust is point directly at the exit pipe of the intercooler.

    Not a happy Camper....

I would check and make sure the spring piece is gone. You don't want the broken spring piece to dancing around under the cover and work it's way into the gap.

    We all have dreams....

Great follow up! Did you give him a ride? That would certainly keep the dream alive. I remember having the dream as well. In 1995 (IIRC), I met Maurice Liang in Detroit at the SAE Auto show. We both worked for HP ( different divisions) and he had arranged for the GTSr #5 to be in our...

opened the drivers door & something went POP

Don't get me wrong, I do believe the lube helps. If you look at the design of stay and spring. without lube, as you open the door, the stay drags on the spring, stretching it as it is depresses it. Then, as you close the door, without lube, the spring get compressed as it is being depressed...

    Not a happy Camper....

I wouldn't go that far....just grease them and pay attention when opening the door, If you hear/feel a Loud pop or snap, go no further until you have pulled the hinge cover to make sure that the spring has not fallen where it could damage the door.

opened the drivers door & something went POP

I just did the touch up for now. I glued the pieces in to place and touched up the area. It is a temporary fix until I get the car into the body shop this winter. Does not look fantastic, but it doesn't draw you eye to it like it did when it was un-repaired.

opened the drivers door & something went POP

Most likely the spring has sprung. Meaning there is not enough spring tension and contact friction to hold the detent in place. The could be because the spring has already cracked, Generally, with repeated flexing, metal becomes work hardened and brittle. The next flex causes it to break. You...

opened the drivers door & something went POP

Don't feel like the lone ranger. I had the same exact problem along with a lot of other members. The grease will help but I believe that the problem is more likely cause by poor tempering of the spring metal or even the spring material quality. You want to get the broken spring piece out of...
