Different classes? So why is the Viper racing against the corvette at the 24 hours Daytona, or at Le Mans in the same class? This rivalry goes back many years. You know those famous words "race on Sunday sell on Monday"..
IMO Ralph has ran out of ammunition for the Viper, and has to make...
The new 8 speed paddle shift looks awesome. 8lbs lighter than the standard manual gear box. Good details

All of those things you mentioned is basically building a completely new car from the ground up. Just the dry sump alone would call for the engine to be re-certified because it would make more power. The re-certification costs a lot of money.. An aluminum frame would need a complete re-design...
Wow that sucks. What broke on the Ferrari?
With the power, aero, the paddle shifter, and new Sport Cups. I wouldn't be surprised if this new Z does a 1:33 flat at Laguna Seca. Shoot it might even break into the 1:32's..
For me that's why I do karting once a month with my shifter, and TAG kart. IMO there is no subsititute, being an inch from the ground going 90+ mph. Not to mention the G's that I pull. $8 bucks in gas,and a set of slicks cost only $250 bucks...Heading to Sonoma raceway next week. Can't wait!
Are you sure the ZR1 brakes were toast? Randy Pobst was prasising the big CC brakes at the record Laguna lap. These are the same spec brakes that are on the Enzo Ferrari..

The development, technology, and engineering that goes in to...
I was a little surprised too..
GM says this will be " The Most Track Capable Corvette Ever". So I'm confident that the engineers have done their homework with like cooling, heat soak etc, etc..
Thank's ..I wanted to clear the entire front end, but couldn't because there isn't a large enough sheet to wrap the whole clam shell hood..
The suspension is KW ( Variant 2 )..
You cannot lower the Gen V which kind of sucks. That's why I bought KW( variant 2) coilovers for mine. I want to lower it 1+inch,and then go get a track alignment done to it. The shocks aren't as versatile compared to my 2010 ACR. Which I am glad that the car came equipped with the KW variant...
