I ran over a water main cover that was lying in the middle of the road in my 39 Chevy which is insured by Grundy. The water main cover created an immediate quick drain in the bottom of the oil pan. I lost 5 quarts of oil within seconds. Luckily I killed the ignition and coasted to a stop before...
The Polar Bear Run is a very popular event in Richmond. There were about 80 participants including five Vipers. Below are some photos of the event. Here we are getting ready to start the run.
We cruised to Page Customs in Oilville, VA. This is a restoration shop just west of Richmond...
Great! The long range forcast is calling for a high of 50. That's almost top down weather. I normally go top down at 55. I don't know if I can talk Kathy in to putting the top down at 50 or not.
See you Saturday.

Don’t forget to reserve your place for this event. You can always cancel later if the weather doesn’t look good. As of January 10th fifty have registered so it’s filling up fast.
You are invited to make the Polar Bear Run in Richmond, VA on January 26, 2008. It’s a good excuse to get our Vipers out in the middle of the winter. Below is a link giving details for the event:

The cruise is typically about 75 – 100 miles with a stop to see a...
If you have two sets of wheels do you have to calibrate the TPMS every time you switch wheels or will it retain the calibration for all 8 wheels? I would like to have a track set of wheels and a street set and have the TPMS work for both sets without have to take the car to the dealer each time...
I had mine (2003 SRT-10) turned on by my dealer. It didn't take any new parts. It cost me about $35 and my insurance company gives a discount for them being on so it ended up being free.
Cameron Walker’s “In the Field” webcast is at:
http://www.yourwcexchange.com/spps/ahpg.cfm?spgid=32
She begins talking about “Christmas in September” at about 1:40 seconds into the clip if you want to skip some of the local items. Lee Stubberfield and Mike Baxter get some camera time.
There...
We “smoked” the Corvette Club of Virginia again! This makes it two years in a row. With the rain we had Friday night it didn’t look good for us early on. When Terry Bagley arrived it looked like he was going to have to represent the entire Viper nation. As the day progressed we ended up with 13...
As far as I know Lee is still has a group cruising down together from MD. If you need his phone number call me before 7:00 AM. I'm going to the hospital early to help set up for the event.
We had 1.5 inches of rain Friday night but it has stopped as of 3:30 AM. The forcast is now:
Today...
The “Christmas in September” event of which the “Horsepower Challenge” is a part will be Webcast at:
http://www.yourwcexchange.com/index.cfm
by Cameron Walker. BTW for you NASCAR fans she’s the fiancée of Denny Hamlin.
Cameron is the reporter for the “In The Field” segment of the Website. She...
Word is that the local press is going to do a Webcast of “Christmas in September” which is the umbrella event for the “Horsepower Challenge.” I don’t have a link yet for the Webcast but will post it as soon as I get it.
Be sure to logon and cheer on your favorate snake.
I just noticed some typos on the card that Lee mailed out about the event. All of the decimal points are missing before the mileages in the directions on the post card. All of the mileages are in tenths of a mile. For example, when you get off of I-95 you will go .2 miles not 2 miles before...
The weather forecast looks good for Richmond:
Saturday: Morning clouds followed by afternoon sun. Highs in the low 80s and lows in the low 50s.
It should be great top down weather.
Be sure to shine your Viper for the judged portion of the event. We will have trophies for the top three...
Aaron, my dad bought it new and he sold it a couple of years ago for about $2000. I got the car during my high school years and he got it back when I went off to college. I kind of wish he still had it so I could restore or street rod it.
