Both were there along with other Mopar prototypes. I took a ton of pictures and will upload a little later.
Got exciting as they pulled the NY Autoshow cars (Red GTS and Silver ALMS) cars through staging together. We though okay this is it, GTS versus ALMS down the srtip at Bandimere, but they...
As soon as you pull the parking brake up slightly, it turns them off. Just like the GEN III/IV do when DRL is activated. Not sure what the big deal people have with DRLs anyway. They do help others to see the car. Those complaining need to work harder in their lives or something. I mean what a...
Does the third from the front on that first photo have a Dolphin painted on the roof? That is not a part of Ralph's Factory Customization Corner is it? :)
They need a special sticker in the car somewhere that says "Specially prepped for our favorite Axe Murder Jeremy Clarkson" just to show the customization ability of the new GEN V and give Jeremy something to comment on.
Problems are:
1. On the new GC SRT8 is that most Colorado dealers have the market adjustment "rape" sticker of 20% overcharge slapped on so there are quite a few sitting around presently, which is their own doing.
2. Old crap 5 speed automatic tranny is major hold back for new GC SRT8...
Now seriously when are at least seeing the base prices for SRT and GTS coming out? It has been long enough behind a shroud or secrecy. It does not look good the longer they wait IMHO.
Well after speaking with over a dozen GEN II GTS owners and 6 potential Viper deals the past few weeks where I tried to work with the seller on a trade and realistic additional significant cash and transport fees on my end type of sale, only to get a late answer after deep thought on their end...
What about the back? I have to believe it is a body color back panel with the stripes on it or it would be way to busy back there. Any shots of the back?
Nice car Alan!
I am still looking hard but not finding any takers for a potential trade. Unfortunate since my 69' Mach 1 is in such great shape with NOS parts etc. and I am being extremely fair on the price in a trade scenerio, I am really suprised by the non interest to try to work something...
After all the talk with the Seller, Seller decided he just didn't want to deal in an older car. Fair enough but now back on the hunt for something. I hate going through the whole trading BS and who has time and patience for all the tire kickers, etc.
It is too bad as I was offering a very fair...
When are you hosers going to revolt against the Canadian Government already on these automobile issues. Seems to me and from my personal experience, it is and has been FUBAR for way longer than it should have. Talk about a corrupt system when it comes to Auto purchasing. Time to stop being nice...
Thanks guys;
If Koni shocks are shot, looks like $1K to have them rebuilt and recharged. I am still waiting to hear back from the seller on the car today. Nothing yet, then again I threw a bunch of questions at him on most all this stuff. Guess we will see how interested he really is! If it...
Thanks Guys;
My Avatar is my 10 minutes of fame and only track time I have ever had, ever. It was at VOI11. And YES I did enjoy it; still dream about it. I doubt I will be tracking anything much at all.
The ACR I am looking at appears to not have been on a track from what I can tell and the...
Thanks guys!
Some of these items I was able to pick up on from reading old posts and some of them are things I had not thought of. Sounds like there are some notorious items common to all 97-02 GTSs I need to look out for as general aging issues.
Wish I could just get a new GEN V but it is not...
Hey I am posting in the GEN II section. :D
Sold my 2006 GEN III Coupe last month (miss it already) and may have a posibility to get into a used 1999 GTS/ACR potentially in a partial trade for another car (1969 Mach 1) in my small collection. This would be the first GEN II, I would have owned...
Okay boys and girls, there are enough mules shots out there that I am going to post a few. Remember, the stock height will be lowered about 1" back and 3/4" front for production and these are non-stock body part pieces so the lines will be tightened up for production. Having said that, I think...
George;
I believe SRT Engineers are targeting 1" drop in the rear and about 3/4" drop in the front for production cars as opposed to these mules everyone is seeing. I think that is about all they can realistically do as I can tell you, having personally seen a couple of mules up close and...
