Gen IV rear bumper "slot": sagging plastic?

Just get a longer piece of strong aluminum bar and put on underside of ground effects with double sided 3M tape, behind the ground effects hidden. It creates a bridge and pulls up the sag. Saleen owners have been using this trick for years.

Not sure, date codes show Jan. 2013.

    KW vs MCS shocks

Will call you a little later this summer Mark and see what things look like and what we can potentially work out. Thanks!

What is really behind Viper/Michelin relationship?

I suppose Mark. Maybe it is because then the 96' winter chains can't be installed properly on a non 17" factory tire? Ha! Ha! :dunno: Crazy world, I would have been okay with just a Tire voucher but I will take the free tires. Told my wife about it after picking up groceries and the refund...

And so it begins *** DEALER MARKUP***

Trunk gap is fine, it's just that dealer badge is so big and heavy, it is pulling the rear plastic panel down. :eater:

    KW vs MCS shocks

Do they make these new MCS for a Gen 1.5 (96) as well?

What is really behind Viper/Michelin relationship?

I did change the factory 5 spoke 17" rims to the 99-02 ACR BBS 18" rims. It was using those 18" PS2s that they had a major issue with on my year of 96 RT/10 Viper. They had no issue with new PS2s on factory 17" rims. Just very strange, indeed!

What is really behind Viper/Michelin relationship?

I ask because something happened to me today that I am still trying to make sense of. So some background, I bought some 1999 Viper ACR BBS authentic rims for my 1996 RT/10 we just got a few weeks ago and went to Discount Tire for new PS2s. They gave me a screaming deal on them at $1,650 all...

LE #003 With Carbon Fiber Exterior Package

Who cares if the Viper looks like an SLS. The SLS looks like crap, just as the SLR. MB has no understanding of beautiful proportions. I would not be bragging about MB for build quality. That is extremely laughable. MB electronics are a nightmare and that is coming from SL65 owners I know. The...

    11.1@ 127 Pretty strong!

Come to the Mile High City, it will deflate the ego numbers real quick. Altitude, ambient temp, track temp, and all the other factors play a HUGE factor. This mythical times are as achieveable as 640 factory "quadra-horn" power at 5,280 ft. 1/4 mile times are only relevant at the same track...

And so it begins *** DEALER MARKUP***

Ah......absolutely SRT has an influence. Don't sell the money grabbing dealer the franchise or the damn car. End of story! Your story about Nissan is going to be the exact same effect on Viper. Many will take their money elsewhere now if they haven't already. There is absolutely no good that can...

And so it begins *** DEALER MARKUP***

Ha! Ha! That is funny. Well aside from my hatred of dealers who screw you and mark things up and provide unprofessional service after paying full MRSP or more for a showcase manufacturer vehicle, the fact of history remains. How many 1992 RT/10 owners that spent $25k, $50K, $75k, $100k, $125k+...

First crashed Gen V on public roads?

Interestingly enough on Friday last week here in Colorado, I got to witness an accident on C-470 near Kipling Street just 1/2 mile in front of me where a car tried to move into the fast lane but never checked that there was already a car coming up in the fast lane. Well the car coming up swerved...

First Gen V vs Gen V race?

Why do people post video of stuff they do in their personal lives these days? I don't get it! We have ALL hit a rev limiter once or twice in our life, even if it was an accidential upshift that turned into a downshift that missed a gear (5-4), not this Viper. The only harm done was first...

Our new 1996 Viper RT/10 Black with Silver Stripes

Yep, the 1995 Mystic Edition Speedster was raffled off in a North America Sweepstakes by BASF in early 1996. It was the "Horse of a Different Color" sweepstakes car. I did not win it at the time, as that would have been a lot cheaper in the long run. Love it! Love the Viper too! I will let you...

Our new 1996 Viper RT/10 Black with Silver Stripes

Cobraken thanks! You need to call Roger and get that 04' back. It just sits there at AE and cries to be driven now. Also none of his pictures show that shorter 20th Anniversary Speedster cover. Did it get lost along the way?

First crashed Gen V on public roads?

My condolences to the family as well. Looking at those cables, I am not sure how they were able to be installed that high. I looked at the ones out here on C-470/E-470 in Colorado which are the only ones I know of out here and they start at about 2 feet off the ground with the top cable being...

Thanks guys! The BASF Mystic Edition S351R Speedster is rocking a 408 completely forged internals with straight gear cut Vortech pushing 12 lbs and Snow Boost Methanol Injection controlled by a Moates Chip. Dyno'd at 579 rwhp and 641 rwlbs on a 91 degF day and at over 6,000 ft altitude. She is a...

Our new 1996 Viper RT/10 Black with Silver Stripes

Had a little 351W in the Mach 1. The 1995 Saleen S351R Speedster was the very first Mystic done by BASF before Ford adopted a toned down version for the 1996 Mystic Cobras. Sounds like we are stealing each other's identity. Firsts for you and firsts for me. In the end, still a fair deal for all...

Our new 1996 Viper RT/10 Black with Silver Stripes

Anyway, a nice car and will be fixing the broken dash pieces (bottom left side by driver's knee) and doing something with the stereo as it looks "kiddy". At this point anything I do with it is much better than I got it to start with. And yes it has different tires at the back. Three are original...

Our new 1996 Viper RT/10 Black with Silver Stripes

Well you guys and gals know the story on our trade a couple of weeks ago so I thought I would post some pictures of our new (old) 1996 Viper RT/10 since it is a nice day in Colorado and car will be mini-hibernating next week with snow each and every day expected. Enjoy:
