I think its so far gone now that SRT can't address it now because they'd have to explain why they were so late in responding, and it would also reopen the wounds from the top down. That triple explaining of why they didn't fess up to the screw up and apology to Viper fans, MT and management is a...
I'm with you on the first part, but the second part eludes me.
The Gen V is nearly as fast if not faster than the Gen IV ACR, has more power, more comfort and is lighter, yet it is too soft and too nice.
I understand we all want the dial to go to 11, but there were serious deficiencies in the...
This is true, the Corvette's limits may be more approachable because it communicates better. The Viper might have a lot more in it but it can be more difficult to achieve. Does that mean the driver isn't brave or skilled enough? Or is the vehicle not giving the driver enough information about...
Well the original idea was to go head to head against the C6 base Corvette years ago, and putting in the 5 speed auto and 5.7 hemi on the Viper chassis with a sophisticated (think Aston Martin) and ++ content would be a good seller. It didn't have to be a track star. That was almost a decade...
From what I heard, no one... not even sure there is going to be any change in the way things are being done. :dunno:
Maybe something's changed in the past month, but there just seems to be too many MBAs and not enough engineers running the show there right now.
So this new club has no infrastructure or track record, but you're then claiming they are all past VCA Board members...are you saying they were all do nothings when they were at the VCA and that others planned and did everything?
Why did the game have to get 'a bit tough and rough' anyhow? You...
That was the basis of the Firepower concept. The lack of shared engine or platform always puts the Viper program in danger of cancellation when the numbers are like they are for 2013.
Tying an entry level car with the Viper frame/chassis would be great to increase the productivity out of CAAP...
I sat in the Gen V and was surprised at how stiff the seats felt compared to my comfy old Gen IV. I guess they break in but the initial thought was that it was going to be uncomfortable. :P
Interesting. Just pulled some numbers together from other brands to see how that all shakes out. Granted these are base cars and they all count varying levels of equipment as being standard, but the Viper edges the mid-engined Ferrari for biggest jump in pricing over 20 years. The Corvette and...
You really have to *love* the car in order to do the extra leg work if there's too many dealers putting ADMs on. The turn off about the ADMs just doesn't hurt the dealership, it hurts the brand and the car.
The Viper isn't selling in a market without competitors. Given the fact that a lot of...
You wouldn't have loved the Viper if it wasn't so outrageous in performance and in looks.
It's part of the DNA of the car... the only way to tell if you can live with the celebrity like spectacle is to own one. :D
This was an interesting video segment.
Lamborghini's boy wonder of sales

Maybe some insight there on how to improve Viper sales.
Don't see why not, but the radar detector is likely switched so the dashcam will be shut off when the car is off. Most dashcams can also be used as security cameras, turning on when the car is bumped, but the pigtail won't allow that if it is off.
Since we all get to be armchair quarterbacks about this, I can pretty much say that the entire program has had 'teething pains' and self-inflicted wounds.
SRT projected 2000+ cars to be sold. This was very aggressive, but it also meant that they were anticipating the Viper program to be cash...
Try toggling the first toolbar button twice (switch editor to source) and see if that fixes anything. If that works then someone should tell Bob because he has me on ignore :D
I found it interesting that this review said the Gen V has no side airbags...

It looks like you're getting too much sun down there. Your polemics and apologist stance for the last President has really showed that you have some strange idea that glossing all of it over is going to heal a rift that has been a long time coming.
Never made any comparison like you say...
Love the way you portray Lee as the victim and aggrieved party.
Can't wait until your first novel comes out...that Adolf character will be the classic misunderstood cartoonist who goes onto glory and becomes the beloved conqueror.
Precision has always been lacking because the membership has been shown almost nothing from the VCA itself. Everything has been 'leaked' onto other websites and it is obvious that there is a significant portion of people here who are pretty tired of that. Seems like the VCA membership has always...
