So far Chrysler has sent 2 wreckers that were not able to pick up the Viper due to clearance. I have repeatedly told them the car is a Viper and they show up with the huge trucks for a John Deere tractor. I am waiting on a call to see what a 3rd one will do. From all the starting and shutting...
I went to the Mobil 1 website and found this after I posted:
Question: Is Mobil 1 0W-40 Appropriate for American-Built Vehicles?I own a Dodge SRT 10 and use the recommended Mobil 1 0W-40 synthetic oil. When it came time for the next oil change all I could find was the European formula. Is...
Today I went to 2 well known parts houses and tried to buy Mobil 1 0W40. The containers said European spec. I looked on the back and it said it was formulated for BMW, Mercedes & Porsche. It also was missing the AP certification seal like all the other weights did have. I did not buy it. The...
I checked on AARP car insurance yesterday with the same coverage I have and was shocked to find out that I can save 50%. They are sending me a written quote so I can confirm the coverages. Anybody had any experience with them?
I would bet that GM put the best driver they had available for the ZR1. They knew they had a lot on the line and Mero is an engineer, probably on the ZR1 platform, and if so knew the capabilities of the car and how to get the best time out of it. I am not a racer, but Mero looked like he drove...
You are correct. That is exactly what I meant, no disrespect to Chuck as he is a very helpful person. I would like to get a straight answer, but unless contract law mandates something in these type of situations, it could be open to negotiations between Chrysler and who ever purchases the Viper...
It is pretty obvious that the Viper is going to a new home. Mine is almost a month old. For you Legal Eagles out there, does Chrysler still have warranty obligations for previously sold Vipers like mine and everybody elses or does their obligations for the warranty pass to the new owner of the...
Got the correct part number, 5038041AA for an 08, thanks. I want to confirm that the drain plug is torqued at 25 ft/lbs for an 08. Also should the new filter be filled with oil before installing it?
Re: Chrysler exploring options for Viper?
It sounds to me like they are either looking to sell the brand entirely or keep the brand and contract it's production out to another company, who knows?
I am going to go with the 500. What is the correct part nuber of the filter for an 08? I don't have a lot of confidence in the local dealer so I want to make sure I get everything right.
I am coming up on 500 miles and plan to open it up a little shortly thereafter. I hear all kinds of stuff about changing the oil the 1st time @ 500 miles, 3000 miles, etc. Would somebody in the know provide some solid advise please?
I was looking at a Speed Lingerie Bra and read the installation instructions and it said when removing the inner wheel well screws, do not completely remove the screws. It was kind of scary since it was in bold print. Are there secret nuts or fastners on the back side you cannot get to that fall...
I think everybody needs to give this guy a break. Actually, legally, he is probably better off not telling the world in an open forum what happened due to his insurance, his drivers license, etc. I am sure he will tell everyone in time once he has had time to think about it and if it the right...
I had a 96 Blue GTS car cover and tried it on my 08 coupe and was surprised it fit the mirrors and everywhere else. It has Viper GTS on it but I don't mind.
