I have a White Vanishing Point Challenger, well my daughter has it, but it's technically mine. She gets a lot of compliments on it, even though it is a 6 cyl with wheels and scoops. It has the look. They are very nice cars. I have run the SRT 392 Hemi on a track and they are impressive.
I was going to get a set of the SS because I heard a lot of horror stories about the cups in the rain. I got caught in a couple of bad storms and the cups did a lot better than I expected, so I would buy another set of cups.
If you were faced with making a decision of having to get rid of $45-50K and your choices were to keep your current Viper and buy either a 96 B/W GTS or a new SRT Challenger or trade your current Viper on a new Gen 5, what would you do?
My last 2 Vipers have come from 400 and 900 miles away. I have tried to have some of my past Vipers serviced locally, but have had some issues to the point I will do the work myself. The last new Viper sold locally was an 04. If I have a major issue, it will have to be shipped some where. I am...
A friend of mine had a nice red Vette vert and kept it covered up at the beach. I saw him a few years ago and asked about the Vette. He said it was ruined from sand getting under the car cover and the paint looked like it has been sand blasted.
When I was a kid, some older teenagers rolled a 57 Chevy and threw one of the guys out. He was up walking around and then died from internal injuries later that night. It happens.
I saw a video of a Chevy plant manager doing that with a ZO6 and blew both of the back quarters off when the tires blew. It did not seem like he cared.
Re: Someone please forward this message to Ralph Giles and the rest of the SRT Team-A
I really like the PS. I thought this would be my last Viper, but if...
I have had the same issues. I made up my mind that I will not take my Viper into my local dealers unless I have to have warranty work done. I took my last Viper in for an oil change and after walking around the building to the other side, the poor kid was still on the other side of the building...
I had an 04 Busa and they are very fast. I have no doubt if it was a Busa, that it would do 193. Bone stock, mine had an electronic limiter that held it to 186.
That is good to hear. I have always dreaded getting caught in the rain with the cups even to the point of putting a set of ss on. I may wait a while now. It would be interesting to see if anyone else is willing to share their experiences in the rain in an ACR w/cups
I went to a trailer dealer today and they showed me a pic of an enclosed trailer with an aluminum ramp that was the same size as the inside of the door. It was hinged and folded out from the ramp/door which had rubber bumpers on it when it touched the ground. It was a trick way to have a built...
I was looking at an aluminum open 17' trailer today. Built by Forest River, $5495. Nice looking. I was in my Viper and told the sales guy I did not think it would go up on the ramps he had. He said let's try. He hooked it up to a truck and the angle was too steep with the included 6' ramps to...
I should go ahead and get a polisher anyway. I have seen a lot of paint burns, swirl marks, etc done by others on cars so I have been a little reluctant to go that route. It seems that Porter Cable make a good polisher. I need some help on what pads, etc to get. I dont want to screw up something...
I have tried most of the suggestions above so far and while they helped some, I still have a stain, being black does not help any. I guess I will either live with it or take it to a professional detailer and see what they can do. What really pisses me off is the truck has 630 miles on it. I...
This is for my black truck. A flock of birds dumped all over the hood of my truck while I was at lunch. I stopped at a wand car wash after that and got it off. Last night I was cleaning the truck with a detailer and while the poop is gone, there is a stain. Besides buffing the hood, is there...
Does anyone know anything about good or bad about Pro line trailers. They re in VA and GA and have an ebay store. Looking at 24' enclosed, heavy duty axles and escape door. Seems you can get one for a little over $5k.
