No service bulletins, no Star cases in Chrysler's system. Most probable causes are a bad crank sensor, wiring, PCM or a damaged tone ring on the crankshaft. I highly doubt the last item on the list.

Will the catch can have a breather on it? If you put the crankcase pressure into a sealed can it will push that pressure out where ever it can. As long as you have the breather on the catch can I see no issues running it this way.
