Gen V american racing headers with kooks green high flow cats with stock mufflers $2,500 shipped. stock mufflers were modified to be 3inch all the way through and mid pipe is welded to muffler. these have 3k miles on them.
thanks for sharing. it honestly drives me crazy that these execs see that we are smart enough to be in a situation to afford a viper but dumb enough to believe the EPA has anything to do with the inability to tune the gen V in the aftermarket. look up cammed challenger/charger or any of...
TAKE ONE! i drove 1k miles this weekend going to San Fran to run a 1/2 marathon then back down to San Diego. Viper was great and with headers and 373 gears no drone at all. Ride was great, with the MCS adjustable suspension I clicked it a couple of clicks softer and my road trip was great.
i own a 14 and would say the only thing i don't like is the locked PCM. the fact that i'm even considering a 10-12k stand alone computer to mod the car drives me crazy. So having the code to the PCM easily cracked wouldn't cost them any more money, I would argue would save them money (no...
That was my plan too but considering Woodhouse posted 3 months ago that the PCM is coming and is now still stuck in legal made me pull the trigger on the headers and gear now. The way I see it is once the controller does release it will be a 10 min swap and instant extra power will be there.
I believe ACRX came with headers and no cats. Cats definitely help reduce noise but I hadn't done any db tests. I will be going to run they car at autoclub speedway in August, I'll let you know if they kick me off. I doubt it because I use to run my zr1 there and it was really loud too.
headers with no drone what so ever, man this car sounds amazing. the 373 gears make a completely different rig. here are before and after shots of the rpms at 80, 75, 70, & 65.
It's not tuned. These cars are set up Rich and when the computer senses that extra
Airflow is happening it dumps more fuel. Gen v owners have being test AFR at wot with headers and the computer senses the extra flow and dumps more fuel for safety.
I wanted my viper to be faster, louder, to ride smoother, and sit a little lower. I had Dan Cragin install American Racing headers with the kooks green cats, they are 300 cell and don't smell at all and with Dan relocating the rear 02 sensors there are no codes on the dash after 500 miles. The...
i changed my oil today, and could easily identify all 4 jack points. i found spots up front for the jack stands but the rear of the car was tricky as i didn't feel like taking down the aluminum undercarriage panels. here is where i placed the jack stands, where do you place yours?
