I tried the power ball. It works on easy to clean wheels, but then you don't need it. On tough wheels, a waste of time.
I have a Subaru STI with nice BBS wheels. Torture to clean all the grooves and nooks, etc. AND, those damn nooks accumulate brake dust much worse than flat surfaces. I...
Consider your tire options first. Make sure you can get the tires you want on the wheels you get. Also, pay attention to the tire recommendation for wheel width.
After that, get Forgeline SO3Ps! Black center, chrome lip. Awesome.
You are correct. The crank pulley is bolted to the balancer. The problem is the balancer is bolted to the crank with one big bolt, and is not keyed / pinned, etc. And the rotation of the crank will try to loosen the bolt. If that bolt does loosen, bad things can happen.
Roe sells a pinning...
I did Dave's transplant of Gen2 front brakes to the rear with stock wheels. No problems with stock wheels or with Forgeline 18" wheels. You will also need Dave's emergency brake.
Good lesson learned here. Make sure you take pics to your installer of what you want, down to the slightest detail. Inexperienced installers will walk away, which is what you want.
Sean, I assume that the stock O2 sensors output lower voltage as a function of use vs. calendar time elapsed. Can you give us a mileage at which they should be replaced?
My 2 cents based upon my experience with my 01 Viper. I put RT high flow cats on, and the existing insulation was still in good shape. The new cats and RT cat back made a big difference in side sill temperature. No more burns on my leg!
I put a Roe SC on the car this summer, side sills...
Plum is right about changing the pistons if you do the heads.
But, many of us are using the Roe SC with 5 psi of boost and the cast pistons. I have seen few issues reported.
You will get a big increase in torque and HP, and a much cooler looking engine. The install is not too difficult...
Ahh, PCM throwing codes. Might be a problem in CT, but only if you have snow tires. :rolaugh:
Let us know what Tator says. You'd also think someone might sell a PCM memory change that would use different temperatures to throw the codes. That would be easier than changing your Tstat.
