    Turtle Wax ICE?

I just tried 3M's Performance Finish. It is a silicone based sealant, probably similar to ICE. Very easy to use, and the shine is very good. For those of us who don't have the time to spend waxing the car all the time, this very durable polymer sealant is a great alternative.

    Engine light question?

You can get a low cost reader for $40 at Harbor Freight. Or, a lot of the auto parts stores will read and reset the code for free.

    Quick Connect Firring Help!!!

I assume you have pulled the wheel well liner to get at this SOB. I did mine, and can't imagine trying to get it off from below. It took me lots of cussing to get mine to disengage. :crazy2:

    Changing Spark Plug Questions

I've never engineered anything to a "dry thread torque". Which formula are you referring to: "common engineering sense and even formulas "? Let's assume I invent the perfect "serious" lubricant with a coefficient of friction of zero. Does this mean the torque goes to zero?

    Changing Spark Plug Questions

I have not seen any rationale for reducing torque. I have seen a lot of opinions. I don't see any connection between the rotational force needed to screw the plug in, which is influenced by lube, and the torque needed to seat the plug correctly and prevent back out, which is what is specified...

    Changing Spark Plug Questions

I believe Tator recommends using the stock plug. That will change if you have any major mods. From my 01 manual, "Always tighten spark plugs to the specified torque." That is 20 ft.lbs.

American Stitches lost my steering wheel

I would dig further. Talk to the bank involved. The assets of the bankrupt company should not have included your property.

How important is a warranty on a 2002 GTS?

If you are going to mod it, or it has already been modded, no. If you are going to keep it stock, yes.

Anyone in IL that can check out a Viper?

A little too far for me. The car has been setup for tracking or racing. 12k miles on the track is a lot more wear than 12k on the city streets. You do need a good mechanic to check this car out. Call Chuck Tator to find out the service history. He will be happy to tell you. Good luck!

To Bee or Not to Bee

Dang, I didn't think to ask for the excess. I was too busy gawking at the car when I picked it up. But, the roll was 50', and I'm sure they used most of it, so no way there was enough to do another bee. LOL. Shoot yes, come on down and get it done. Would be one great photo shoot for sure...

$140 for 8" vinly roll (had to buy full roll). $500 labor. Took two days to do it.

    Angel Eyes Headlights?

I put them on last summer. Something about the Doppler effect and / or shaping the airstream around the NACA duct. I got 5 more HP when it is dark.

To Bee or Not to Bee

The stripes are 2 mil vinyl. There is a place on Gasoline Alley here in Speedway who does the Indy cars and a lot of other race applications. They did a great job. I have no idea how any of you guys did it yourself. There are so many curves on this snake! I took photos of actual vipers to...

To Bee or Not to Bee

The deed is done. I could not be happier with the results. :headbang: Forgeline wheels with chrome lips and black centers. Pilot sport cup tires, 295 on front and 345 on rear. SRT brakes on the front, and moved the front calipers to the rear. Add Dave's Ebrake, and Roe's racing rotors all...

MYSRT10 License Plate in New Hampshire

I was driving up I93 around Manchester, NH this morning and a nice SRT10 passed me. His diffuser is loose, and you can see it shuddering when doing about 70 mph from behind. If anyone knows who this is, pass this on.
