Baz,
If you can get over to New Orleans (or thereabout), take an airboat tour through the swamp at dusk. Unforgettable. And, Cajun restaurants in New Orleans are worth the trip.
Any chance you are going to get to New York? That is a fun place to visit.
Have a great trip!

I took a look at some of the older threads on this. Anyone know if the cast wheels are two piece wheels? If so, I could see where there might be an issue if there was any rewelding done as part of the chroming process.
I also looked at some other forums on this subject. There are a lot of...
No way I would buy the car without a thorough inspection. The price would then depend upon what was found in the inspection. Where is the car? Someone here might be able to inspect it for you.
I put Jesels on mine. I would guess that you have an adjustment problem and / or you have the wrong length pushrods. I don't have any experience with HS, but with Jesel you had to measure to get the correct pushrod length, and then buy new pushrods. It was also a beech to get them adjusted...
It was a good looking car, but what a piece of junk. I had the ignition problem, synchro problems in the transmission, and the car overheated and warped the head on the previous owner. Chicks dug it though.:2tu:
If you are going to pull the connectors, clean them up with electronics lube / cleaner. You can get it at RadioShack. I had a TR7 once that did this. Turned out to be the electronic ignition module intermittently failing. It finally failed completely, of course while I was trying to pass...
I've got Venzano leather seats. I called Venzano, and they recommended Zaino's "Leather in a Bottle". It's not cheap, but it cleans well and restores the new leather smell. I highly recommend it.
The right tool is usually a big advantage, makes the job easier, and makes the mechanic more confident that he is doing the job right. But like Tony said, try finding it when you need it on the weekend. Also, I hate to blow my hard earned money on a tool I will use once or twice...
I would never bet against Chuck, but with an 11 year old car it is still possible that the valve covers are leaking. I had to tighten mine twice (very carefully) after a rolling rocker install to stop the leaks.
Pics would help to diagnose. Do you have any loose hoses going from the valve...
Yeah, a real beech to get to. I replaced mine as part of my Roe install. Here is a link that shows how to get off the liner:
