Yeah I saw that thread. I've been to Carlisle many times before - I'm just trying to figure out how things might differ from the 'Cuda Club I've joined in years past. They don't have an annual membership, so things work a little differently for them! :)
I figured this was the best place to post this, since it is indeed a "newbie" question...
...that, and I can't post in the "events" section yet.
I'm just curious, for those that attend Carlisle, what "extra costs" might be associated with the events that take place in the Viper area of the...
The "Viper Cuda" is essentially a 71' body dropped on top of a Viper Chassis, which was of course modified to fit the length of the 'Cuda body. It is all Viper underneath - steering, suspension, drivetrain (lengthened driveshaft.) I spoke at length with the owner/builder at Carlisle in 2007...
Actually my newest idea is to keep the black where stripes WOULD go, and painting the REST of the car Viper GTS Blue. I've seen pictures of the blue-and-black Vipers and it looks really nice. I used Forza Motorsports 2 to make a simulated image of the same paint scheme on a Gen II GTS.
By...
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Viper Club of America, and Viper owners World-wide, I have a suggestion to make.
But first of all, a brief story in history:
I learned of the Viper many years ago and have been a fan ever since. When I attended PennState University, every single one of my...
Except that my Viper isn't black and silver - just black. :)
It's okay - it's really not on my priority list and I've made no efforts to actually sell my car. With the summer approaching and imminent unemployment on the horizon in 5 weeks, I've got other things to worry about!
Eventually...
I saw this car at Carlisle in 2007 - it was VERY clean. If I only had the cash sitting around...

Only problem is, in the 80's Chrysler had an ace up it's sleeve - it was this little sleek thing called the "Viper." Today they've got zilch. A decent looking electrical Lotus-based car - turn to Car & Driver to learn how (un)successful the similar "Tesla" has become. That I know of, they...
Build date should be on a sticker on the door jam somewhere. I'm assuming Viper follows the standard protocol. Do you still have the window sticker? That'll tell you too, and possibly even the color code, sometimes.
Yeah but I would think that if it were the balljoint, then I'd get the noise CONSTANTLY. Sometimes I don't hear anything - in fact, on big bumps, I usually don't get any noise. It's more when the body twists a little or just going over road undulations that it'll squeak.
I'll try and get...
Hang on though - is that blue from the first page GTS Blue? It looks darker and more rich - almost like the Chrysler Deep Water Blue Pearlcoat.
I'm still up in the air debating an eventual repaint, and that color is AMAZING. I'd also like to do black stripes in "homage" of the original...
Oh I'd definitely check it out first - I just think it'll be close to impossible to sell my Black and Cognac (allegedly only 51 of those - confirmation?)
I'd be afraid of selling mine but taking too long, and this one being sold out from under me, and then having no Viper!!
:crying:
Check out this GTS for sale:

It's the year I wanted, it has the ABS brakes I wanted, it's one of my favorite color schemes, it's the mileage I was looking for, and the price is great.
Of course I have my 2000...
I HAVE the AB wires...
Lol, I've actually just contacted someone in Texas with a 2002 Gray with Silver Stripes GTS to see if they'd be willing to make a trade... I love that color and I've really wanted an 01/02...
Yeup - that seems to be it. I finally got up underneath and the answer was quite obvious - the rear pipes, just fore of the tips themselves, are actually sitting on the rear splash pan opening. I don't know if that metal is already diveted for the pipes, but it is now. It has even rubbed the...
Yeah but aren't the mufflers located in the side-sills right after the cats? They are in my car at least, unless that's an additional resonator... Is that where your squeak was - in the sidesills? My squeak is coming from the back, directly under the spare-tire well. So it's either an...
Robert,
Thanks - as a matter of fact, I have THREE round-taillight Cuda models now. I bought one on Ebay a while back, and then a matter of weeks later, my dad found two additional unopened models that he had bought from when he owned a '72 340 Cuda. I believe the one I bought is actually a...
