Since a Stock 2015 Hellcat w/ DR's Just ran 10.85 @126 ph in the 1/4 Mile...
I,just posted in the other thread I watch done run at an NHRA event today and it went 12.18 at 118 mph. May me look stupid when I said watch this pig run a 10, and it went a 12, at a prop event with ideal track prep. Maybe a fluke, maybe it was at Everest Summit altitude.- DMan

Challenger Hellcat gets 707HP!
Today I was watching NHRA on the TV in a sports bar at lunch. They pulled out a hellcat challenger, big burn out and run. Yea, I agree pretty much with this & FLL's post. It is what it is. I prefer the manual for street fun, it's part of the experience. For trackdays, same thing, I love the manual for the same reason. If were racing to be absolutely competitive, I'd want a DCT, if it weren't superior then ALMS...- DMan

Me too, I think the legacy & DNA of the viper is that it beats the snot out of other cars at the track, if another engine accomplishes that even more so, then sign me up. I find it kind of funny that guys lock in on the cylinder count as what makes the viper a viper. IMHO, performance makes it...- DMan

I've owned 4 vipers, but not a gen5, but have driven one, and sat in the Laguna equipped GTS ith the bells & whistles. Here's my 2 cents. Since you're in FL, I'd think a DD is very possible. Hard to say if you'll be OK since you're coming from a super smooth ride in he MB - that's really...- DMan

Yea, this is circulating everywhere, if they do this then Ralph is going to look pretty dumb, since he's officially stated it wont happen due to fitment & the V10 is the only engine to fit the viper. Not that I'd mind, I know some think the V10 defines the viper, but I don't care about cylinder...- DMan

I just don't see it, frankly I don't think people, other than medical emergencies or dire situations, would sell below a point. I believe the level will base at about $75k. Gen4's have held in the $60's for yrs now, basically unless you have a desperate thing going on, you'd hang on to it til...- DMan

Yea, that' one post I think is off base. Previous gens have settled into a range and not a lot of movement in long time. I hate to agree but I'd take that dealer offer too. Cash deal and no worries or effort. As others say, for non-viper community, GTSs are too close to that price and have the bells and whistles, and seeing '14 GTSs, let alone SRTs in the $90s, makes what would be a great deal .. not seem so...- DMan
