    Spotted in Portland, OR

Let's also make the July 16/17 event with the Washington club a good one! It would be great to have more than 2 or 3 Vipers attending. See our Pres. about the details, but he's scheduling an autocross event, tour of Lemays car museum (i think that's it's name...), and a session at Griot's...

    My Viper MATTE BLACK *pics*

That Matte black looks awesome! Kinda like the ART carbon-fiber wrapped Viper - I love the matte look on the Gen 4.

    Ready to buy a GTS

Have a solid silver '98 GTS in Oregon you could probably talk me out of for 31k. Email me at [email protected] if you're interested. Good luck on your hunt. This is a good time of year to be buying a sports car!

    What clutch to buy?

I just had a bad experience with Speed Solutions Int'l (AKA Gripforce clutches). I certainly wouldn't go that route again. Be sure and check their Better Business Bureau rating before spending the $$$ I've used the chromoly 1-piece flywheels and have had great luck with them.

Looking for Opinions on an F1 Racing DF Clutch Kit??

I have had HORRIBLE experiences with Gripforce (AKA Speed Solutions). They sent me an "uprgraded" F1 clutch that ruined a new flywheel and caused me to have to pay labor for a second clutch install. Their product was 100% faulty and then their customer service guy "Art" claimed that my Viper...

    Aluminum vs Chromolly flywheel

Two different cars. Both '98 GTS's

    Aluminum vs Chromolly flywheel

I've had two of the CBHause chromoly flywheels. I like them! Not quite as light as aluminum, but they're strong and WAY lighter than stock. Not a night and day difference, but you'll notice it revs slightly quicker.

Anyone have a spare fog light cover??

Actually, my avatar IS my car. The GTS I was seeking a fog light cover for is my wife's..........but thanks for paying attention! Also.......I had already put my ad in the "whatcha need...." forum, but I got no replies, as not many people with spare parts in their garage look at that forum...

Anyone have a spare fog light cover??

Actually I'm not looking any more. I found that if it fits in or on a Viper..........Partsrack has it! Ha ha ha ha. JonB has them for a bargain, so my needs have been met. THanks Jon!

Anyone have a spare fog light cover??

I bought a '98 GTS and it's missing the drivers side fog light cover. Anyone have one lying around they'd be willing to part with? I hear it's $80 for a new one, but thought I'd check with you folks first. Thanks in advance! And if someone has a reasonably priced used PAIR, I might entertain...

    Does anyone know this Viper??

The listing says it has brand new Michelins. I would say that's a pretty fair price. But like mentioned above, you have to start looking at those little things like the airbox and say........"why?" That would concern me a little, plus I'm not a huge fan of black wheels. If everything else is...

    Small parts needed for GTS

I need a left side fog light cover (w/foam gasket) for a '98 GTS. I also need one of the wing nuts that go on the back of the headlight on the drivers side.........as well as the grey snorkel-looking vent that goes out of the top of the drivers side headlight. Let me know if you have these...

Should I RTV the oil pan gasket???

Yes, I searched and read all the posts on oil pans, gaskets, RTV'ing the bolts, etc. My '98 seemed to be seeping oil from several places around the pan, so I removed it tonight and worked on getting it all spotless before I reassemble. So I plan on applying RTV to the 4 corners as well as RTV...

    whats it worth to you

Maybe I missed something here, but WHY did you string someone along by saying it's for sale when you really haven't made that decision. You're going to ruin someone's day when he has money in hand and now you want to keep it. Seems to me that should have been your FIRST...

    GTS Rollbars?

Here's the Autoform in my old '98 GTS. I never had any problem seeing out of the car. Only prolem was, being 6'2" I had to lower the seat so it would go back that last notch!

2 Dead in Viper Crash: :(

What makes you think that a cool guy (who happens to be in Law Enforcement) who was out enjoying his car thinks HE is above the law. I know a lot of officers and can't think of even one that thinks he is above the law. On our own time, we are subject to the same laws as everyone else......a...

Okay, here's the before pic... just a stock '03 other than the chrome-look emblems.

AFTER pics of Vipair hood and new shoes too!

Well first off, I needed new tires BADLY and JonB made me a smokin' deal on the tire/wheel combo. And they look stock because they ARE stock wheels.....on the '09/'10 I believe it is. And as a benefit, they are considerably lighter than the stock '03 wheels. Plus I like them!!! And like...

AFTER pics of Vipair hood and new shoes too!

Got the hood back from the painter last night and worked on the hood/fender adjustment this morning. And I'm loving these six-spoke wheels and Kumho tires I bought from JonB. Whaddya' guys think so far? I'm liking the aggressiveness of the hood.

Vipair hood is an excellent fit!

That blue and carbon fiber looks phenomenal!!! Lets see a pic of it installed on the car!!

Vipair hood is an excellent fit!

I didn't take pics of the underside, but can when the hood is finished. I'll post "after" pics about this time next week. And I ended up paying $450 to have the hood finished. That includes the priming/blocking/painting/numerous coats of clear, etc. I just installed the six spoke SRT wheels...

Vipair hood is an excellent fit!

I just put the Vipair hood on for a trial fit prior to going to the painter. I was surprised at how well it fit without any adjusting whatsoever. I'm sure it will need a little fine tuning once the hood is finished, but not bad eh? Just an FYI for those who are interested... I know I just got...
