Not enough volume to keep up with demand from engine. You'd need 4L or air every rotation. At 3k rpm that's 12KL of air or about 450cfm of air - that's a lot more than the little squirl cage blower in the car can produce (maybe 25-50 cfm on a great day - The airhandler in your house only blows...
Gen1 heads are different then Gen2 heads. Flow is a huge problem with Gen1 heads. 600hp N/A out of a Gen1 - I'd have to see it to believe it. Out of a Gen2 - no problem.
Awesome!!! Thx!
Anybody have any pull with a trucking company that would want to tke 7-8 Vipers from TX to SLC. Searching for a "good deal" on an enclosed trailer that we could all chip in on & do the fly & drive thingy. Already have half the truck full - need to get some firm pricing and...
My ACR came with the same radio that came in my `05 Dodge truck (bought in `04).
I think a full exhaust system would be the best upgrade I could buy....
99 R/T 10 - we had one bone stock `09 SRT hit 545 RWHP on the dyno during the Central TX round up last year. It belongs to Hi-Power here...
I too would be happy with a 0.4L increase... 15% in the same case? Sounds like an upgrade many of us would go for. I'm being told I have 2 options for more power: 1 - Paxton, 2 - Turbos. I like my roots, I want my roots!
Sean....por favor!
Got it! It is like stepping on a brick still (stock Gen1 booster). I have some trucks in the fleet that have air brakes - the Gen1 acts very similar: Very heavy feel - not much/hardly any modulation (pedal travel) between no brakes and locked wheels, just like air brakes.
That being said...
Thanks guys! Was fun and nerve racking all at the same time - that's a LOT of grinding!

PS:
This is all Dave's fault! :D Thanks for mentioning something to JonB - I'm...
I did some lurking and posting but could not find a post on a Gen1 with the StopTech big brake kit. I found all the Gen 2 info I needed. With the year end blow out JonB was offering on the kits I couldn't pass it up.
I went with the ST60 (6 pot) front calipers and ST40 (4 pot) rear calipers...
Now it's time for 2:02s at TWS!!!! (possibly lower!) I'm up for a track day when the stars align and we both have a day off...at the same time ;)
Check you e-mail - new dyno #s are in! :omg::omg::omg: Look at the torque :omg::omg::omg:
Wow! I thought the wing was going to be a lot different - If it wasn't for everyone else's observations I'd have sworn it was the same wing!!!! Looks awesome. Can't wait to see it just to peek under the hood and make sure you didn't just repaint the FE to sucker the rest of us into a race ;)...
