Valvoline power steering fluid meets the Chrysler spec. White bottle, blue label. They also offer a full synthetic option in a black bottle with silver labeling. It is a golden colored oil like OE, not a red ATF+4.
If you never track your Viper, then any quality DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid will...
Or, he could try FB and get about 67 random comments over 2 days - only 4 of which are worth the time to consider. Those would tell you the same thing as you found here.
Casing rubber formulation is different than tread rubber. If Conti is so specific about potential cold temperature problems on a hot weather extreme performance tire, I'd take them at their word. I think the Kumho Gen 5 ACR tires carry similar warnings.
How long have the tires been on the car? Is the car new to you? Can you wait to move it until the temperature moderates enough to move it per the Continental recommendations? I would assume you do get some periods between cold fronts that would allow safe movement.
Since you are acutely worried...
After re-reading the flow path from Post #44, and your comment about having installed a new pump, I would think you are likely to have a flow restriction issue at the fan module.
It would appear the first duty of this system is to keep the engine from overheating. The second is to provide...
In addition to the pump flow control valve, the G3 fan has a thermostatically controlled valve. The dual hydraulic circuits are more complex in operation and have a different demand curve for pressure and flow.
Does your steering seem to function correctly and the problems are mostly with the...
Over the past several weeks, I've changed my old 17" CCW Classics to 18" with new (used) lips and barrels. These are the 30 bolt modulars which use 5/16" or 8mm fastener hardwear. 2 of the faces were going to require a lot of polishing even to get them to track quality, so I opted to put them...
It is terrible, as predicted by most. There are several subforums that haven't had a new post in 5 months, or more. The most lively ones see 3-4 posts every couple weeks to a month. People are still re-living NVE and talking up the latest VQ issue.
The only reason I re-upped for the minimum is...
Do you have any information on that you can share? I would love to eventually get involved doing track days. I have done the longhorn race experience at COTA which was ok but I am sure it is a completely different experience using your own car.
Next event is March 1-2

I gave you all the info you should need to mark your stick correctly. I can't do it for you. If the tube mounts into a boss on the lower block rail, there are only 2 tubes to use. There are only 2 sticks to use each matches either the long or short tube. The FULL level in either the 8, or 10...
I checked some of my polished, cast&welded 5 spoke 17s today. Bare, with rubber valve stems only: 17x13=25#, 17x10=20#.
I just assembled a set of 18x12.5 CCW Classics. One of them weighs 23# with 1.5# of fastener hardware - 30 pcs.
I am signed up for Chin in Feb. It will be the first time I've run with them, but many friends have and Chin does tracks all over the country. I've only run with Edge Addicts before - 4x at COTA. They run a pretty tight schedule with 5 runs per group per day. They try to get 25min sessions. They...
There's a difference between running a car at the track, and running it HARD. With headers, I automatically call that HARD use and you should equip it to protect everything near the pipes from extreme radiant heat. I've seen a lot of melted plastic & wires and overheated fluid issues in Vipers...
Was it the OE Shield or header wrap? the early Gen 2's when run hard at the track were radiating heat off cyl. #1. So much that it rapidly aged the PS hose and led to failures, sometimes combined with unabated flames. The '98+ cars had an extra extension fold on the shield to mitigate that problem.
