Gen 1\'s increased performance with larger tires and wheels?
What’s largest tire size that we can get on the Gen 1’s with out worrying about the tires rubbing?
Is there any definitive increase in both handling and traction when upgrading in tire size (sticking with the Pilot Sports) or is this...
Do Headers such as Edlebrock or Belanger interchange from a Gen 2 to a Gen 1?
Would there be any gain in taking the factory exhaust manifolds from a 99 GTS and putting them into a 94RT10 besides a weight savings.
Thanks
Tim
My 2 bits worth and experience:
I have a 94 RT 10, stock Arrow Rebuild with the stock exhaust but dropped the cats last year. There is no question that the side sills are substantially cooler and my feet are still warm but not to the point of being ridiculously hot where I could hardly stand...
Are there any definitive examples of true power increases and how much? We all know of those that talk the talk but can they walk the talk? An example is my friend with his 99 GTS that put on Borlas Headers and Exhaust with the low restriction Cats as well as his K&N’s. Then there is my stock 94...
With smooth tubes, K&N’s and no Cats and stock mufflers seem to work well on my 94 RT10 with no loss’s against the Gen 2’s that are stock or against my buddy who is running Cat Back, Borla Headers and exhaust on his 99 GTS. I will be changing out my mufflers this spring with something a little...
Re: Jeff Morey\'s cylinder heads make 558 hp
Ken,
This sounds to me the way to go with none of the hassles of bolt on NOS, Turbo’s etc.
What’s in the works for the GEN 1 heads and what is it worth?
Thanks
Has anyone looked into retrofitting or copying the 2003 Viper exhaust onto the Gen 1 Vipers?
I was impressed with the sound quality and how much less restrictive that it seemed during VOI #7.
I’m sure that the X crossover on the older Vipers will be the limiting factor.

Tom,
Yes I wish for a line to run up to the top of the engine compartment and maybe secure near the master cylinder for the brakes. This way it would allow for easy access to bleed the air out of the clutch as it seems like it takes many attempts to get it just right.
As well I had heard that...
Re: Vipermania \"back orders\"....
Biff,
It’s getting cold here in Canada and the factory windows just don’t cut it at this latitude during this time of year.
Before Xmas, promise?

Would anyone know who sells the hydraulic line that runs from the master cylinder of the clutch to the top of the engine compartment to ease in the bleeding of the clutch?
Is there anyone that sells shims to help shim the clutch pedal out on the Gen One cars?
How well do these kits work?
Re: RT/10 \"FIX\" for leaks...
Biff,
Go ahead and send a set with my windows when you ship them up to Canada. Even with the exchange on the Canadian Peso the $10.00 US is a deal.
Thanks
Tim

Tom,
How many miles on your Viper?
Maybe what we need is a Forum dedicated to tracking these items that save money. Like the blood pressure bulb for $2.00 and not Dodge’s $70.00 for the lumbar support, or the air box clips from the GM Tahoe that I believe sold for under a dollar and not...
After hearing and seeing the new SRT 10 in Nashville I would like to find out more about the Resonator/Muffler that is in this new car. I realize that this system has 2 Cats on it followed by the resonator and then crosses to the opposite side of the car before exiting. As well as being...
Joel,
I kind of believe that it was the clutch dragging due to air in the system that was not bled out. I had to persevere with the dealer that the pedal did not feel like it was up all the way. They ended up changing out the slave and master cylinder on warranty as well as multiple bleeding of...
Joel,
The transmission was brand new. As far as abuse that is coming from the DSM (district service manager) and after the way we were allowed to drive Chryslers Vipers and trucks at this last VOI 7, I treat this car like a baby. Apparently the DSM does not believe the fact that the problem was...
Help,
On my extended Gold Plan Plus I just had a brand new transmission, pressure plate, clutch slave cylinder, throw bearing put into my 94 RT 10 (the last 3 I paid for). My new transmission right out of the shop was grinding or clipping while shifting from 1st to 2nd gear on a fast shift. Now...
Dean,
Toe on the front is just over 3/32” each tire.
Front Caster is on the top end but there is no pull, just the darting. It is also very similar to what it was prior to the wheel alignment when there was no problem.
We used Mopars plastic protractors for the rear caster.
The rear toe is...
