    white out's run

Early 26th update. Just loaded my skateboards, some tools, and backpack into the car. Now have to fit a laptop, girlfriend, her bag, and a suit. That's what I was thinking. :D The deal with the car is; I love it, but I really want a Murci. Fortunately driving the car and enjoying it until it...

    white out's run

Tomorrow I am driving the Viper from Grand Rapids, MI to San Diego, CA with a stop in Vegas. THe run from GR to Vegas will be done in one run. I have been watching the weather, and on the fly will be deciding between taking the 80 across the country and attempting the 70 through the Mountains in...

Colorado: I'm going to need some help with roads

I would rather drive than have the car shipped. Yeah, this current weather across the country is really f'ing up all of my plans. I'm hoping that the weather conditions change as the week goes. Right now a southern route is looking like the only option. Nick

    HID fog lights

I ended up going with some Hella bulbs for the fogs. HID low beams should be enough for distance. Nick

    HID fog lights

Are HID fog lights really worth it for a car with HID low beams? I am currently in between some Hella or PIAA fog light bulbs; or 4300k HIDs to go with HID low beams. For those with HID fog lights, can you post pictures to where you mounted the ballasts. Thanks, Nick

Colorado: I'm going to need some help with roads

Oh, yeah there is a young guy (forgot his name) with a black GTS and red GTS. He owns a t-shirt shop on 44th & Kenowa, in Grandville. My friend with the white Gallardo said that he is a nice guy. He also made the shirts when we put on the Chicago Midnight Run. I live in downtown Grand Rapids...

Colorado: I'm going to need some help with roads

That's what it looks like right now (according to Colorado's site). It looks like I should try to be in Denver around noon and take the pass during the warmer hours of the day. So there is a better chance of it being above freezing. Nick

Colorado: I'm going to need some help with roads

I'm well aware of traction in low temperatures. I will be running V1, Blinder Jammers, Trapster, CB, and of course keeping an eye out for the tell-tale spots/signs. Nick

Colorado: I'm going to need some help with roads

Just because it's cold and weather is adverse doesn't mean that all Viper owners crash ;) I was out in the snow in single digit temps over the past few days. :drive: Nick

Colorado: I'm going to need some help with roads

Isn't the 70 & the 6 the same road? If it getting slammed with snow, then I am going to have to bail south (which is very likely). I've been driving the car when snow has been coming down here to brush up on Viper snow characteristics. Nick

Colorado: I'm going to need some help with roads

Yeah, I am basing my route completely off of weather and having many break-away routes south from the 80 in case of severe weather. The midwest weather is fairly foreseeable along with the forecast. But the mountains seem to be constantly changing, which is why I want to have as much up to date...

Colorado: I'm going to need some help with roads

My car has 3M clear bra. So the paint will be okay and I will not be close to the vehicle in front of me (I like my car). I wasn't planning on doing 95 through the pass (or when I stop), but MI, IL, IA, NB, CO (to Denver) and after the mountains can make up for it, to set the average. But my...
