Dan Lesser can help you. If you are using Belanger headers, I would highly recommend you relocate the upstream O2 sensors into the collector. The current location
is in one header tube, close the head, to reduce trouble codes for the sensor heating element, not warming up fast enough. Problem...
There is very little in parts from the dealer, but there is a large network of companies to tap into for OE and used parts. They are expensive, but what is not these days. Also the fact that so many of these cars have been salvaged (Torque is something people don't get, we sold them on Friday...
92-93's are a ***** to remove the radiator and bleed the air out of the system.
They did not come with AC and when added could overheat. The fans where part of the radiator support which made them hard to service.
The cooling system was updated in 1994 to include a single two speed fan and a...
These are great as long as they don't become discharged for any period of time. Then they wont recover. Batteries are consumables like tires and oil.
I just change Viper batteries every three years and use a sealed battery. A battery tender helps if you only drive every few few weeks.
For...
It could just be the nature of that used trans, in a different car.
You just never know with used parts.
You might want to have the driveshaft sent out and checked for balance.
I had a couple on racecars that bent the shaft , causing a vibration.
Ok,
I experienced some engine vibration with these aftermarket trans mounts
on the Gen 2's, more so with the metal plate installed under the mount.
Solid or high durometer engine mounts make it worse.
Do you feel the vibration in neutral with rpm?
Replacing the bearings is not hard, but its critical that you torque the rear bearings correctly at the axle nut.
Only use premium bearings. They make some really cheap ones that don't last. On a Gen 1 with under 50k miles that has not
been tracked, with no wheel play or excessive grease...
The issue is the splines in the rear bearing hubs. They become worn and make a cracking noise on takeoff.
Dodge had a service notice at one time to replace the rear wheel bearings.
If the rear bearings are in good shape, you can just swap the left and right bearings. This allows the
splines to...
Never jump start a Gen 1, you can damage the engine controller. The electronics are old and cannot take the power surge.
Charge the battery first or replace it.
Tractive is the only option if you want dual Mode. It can be tuned as well.
MCS with a 500/800 spring rate would be best for you use if you delete dual mode
You might have one of the few 01-02 Viper's that left the factory without valve seals one one or both heads.
There was a service notice back in the day.
Lots of questions. I have lots of experience with all this over the past 30 years building Viper engines, feel free to call me if needed.

You can make big power with the Paxton System, but the engine really is the weak link. I developed all the Viper SC systems with Paxton, supplied all the test vehicles and did our own durability tests. The standard kit, as supplied worked very well and was safe.
Small changes can be made to the...
The complete kit comes with tuning and gets the engine up to about
670hp. An aftermarket throttle body can get you another 10hp.
A bigger air to water cooler will make the power more repeatable. If you
dyno test the car, the air fuel can be optimized with a new calibration
for the JTEC engine...
