Hi all! Long time member here, 1st post in over 4 years! It's about time to replace the head gaskets on my 96 RT10. Any recommended shops in and around Philadelphia? Willing to drive a few hours if needed.
Thanks for the help!
Hi all! Long time member here, 1st post in over 10 years!
What type of coolant is everyone using in there older vipers? I am thinking of moving the the amber long life stuff. Is this a bad idea? (I have a '96 RT/10)
PCV Valve for 96 RT10
Hi all,
My 96 RT10 has 15K on it so I am flushing ALL the fluids and replacing the sparks plugs, etc. Everything was going fine until I found out that dodge seems to have discontinued the PCV valve for my engine. Can anyone confirm this is true. I was told by the local...
Hi all,
I moved to Utah from PA about 2 years ago and I don't think I have posted since I moved out here so many may not remember me, but I need some help... please.
I had my car out today (probably only the 10th time this year) and as I was on the gas at about 70 MPH I heard a very, very...
Took the viper out for a quick ride today and noticed the paint wearing where the hood meets the front fascia over the left-front tire.
See picture...
As you can see the gap is wider in the front than in the rear. I am not sure what would have made the hood/fascia shift (perhaps auto-x...
Hi All,
I am looking for a present for my father who has an 911. Many people have given me items from MGW in the past and I have enjoyed them. So I was wondering if anyone knew of a simmiler company for the Porsche community?
Thanks for the help!

Hi all,
I am moving from Philly to Salt Lake City (Draper actually) in June, are there any Viper heads in the area? Is this an active Viper region? Not that I participated in a lot of events last year, but I hope to have more free time this Summer...
So, I just installed a new set of Kumhos and along with them a set of SmarTire sensors. Does anyone have any ingenious ideas on where to mount the remote display for my SmartTire System. I also figured if you have the remote display for your Valentine 1 in a good spot it would work for the...
My warrantee is up later this month and was wondering if it was worth it to get the "top of the line" extended warrantee. As, the viper does not have that many "bell and whistles" that could break. (no power mirrors, stuff like that...) Should I get the basic powertrain warrantee, get the "top...
It seems may car may be experiencing a problem associated with TSB 18-15-97
"Intermittent hesitation between 4 and 5 thousand RPM."
"Intermittent malfunction indicator light (MIL) with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's)."
I thought the clutch was slipping, as every once and a while, under...

Hi everyone, first official nice day around here in a while so I put the my 96' RT/10 back on the road today. So, I took her to work and at lunch-time stretched her legs a little... I want to comment on how there are so many cars out there...
Check out ebay at: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&query=dodge+viper+key
or search for "dodge viper key" you'll find several.
I live in Bucks County outside of Philly, has anyone taken their viper for service around here? I know about Barbera's, is their any place good closer to me? Dealers in the Trenton area would also be closer than Barbera's in Philly. I need to get a check engine light diagnosed. (It's still...
I got a check a check engine light on Friday on the way home from work. It seemed to be idling a little rough on Friday, but I didn't notice anything really wrong. Any ideas on what could have caused it? I know there's not much to go on.
Also, does anyone know of any good places to take a...
Which line marked on the wheel well marks the "hot" level and which marks the "cold" coolant level? Thanks for the tip. I suppose this would be in the manual, but I don't have one.
Thanks!
Thanks to all that were at Nifty Fiftiy\'s on Sunday!
I would like to thank all that came-out for Sunday's get together at Nifty Fifty's. I hope all had a good time. We had a total of 16 vipers there, not a bad turn-out considering, this was put together earlier this week. I would also like...
There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot going on this weekend so I thought I would organize a last minute get-together for this Sunday the 23rd. I have reserved a spot for us at the Nifty Fifty’s restaurant www.niftyfiftys.com in Bensalem, PA. Nifty Fifty’s is a great 50 style restaurant...

Does anyone have any good tips on making the engine and surrounding area look better than new? Going to a car show on Sunday and want her to be looking good...
Thanks in advance for all the great advice, you guys never let me down.

BTW. Last week I asked about scratch remover and got...
I have read through a bunch of old posts and it seems that 3M products were recommended the most for removing scratches, does anyone have a part number and know where I can find 3M products?
Thanks,
Sean
JMcGuire,
Uneven tire wear, such as cupping, is not caused by improper rotation of the tires, it is caused by the vehicle itself. Vehicles that are out of alignment will cause the tires to cup. Some vehicles, especially light trucks and SUV's will wear tires unevenly even when aligned...
Yup,
The VT and the Viper are a good match. Up close the VT isn't that impressive (I don't like it's handmade look). The new Diablo 6.0, on the other-hand, would smoke a stock viper. That is one hell of a machine.

Does anybody have any tips on what to use for numbers? I'm entering a auto-x this weekend and I'm not sure what I can use for numbers? Can't use the magnetic ones, so what are the other options...
Thanks!
I want to go to an Auto-X event, how do vipers usually fair in these events? I heard that the courses are usually set up for smaller, lighter cars? Any tips for a first time auto-xer?
Thanks,
-Sean
