I had taken my diff away for a 3.55 to a shop, specialized in differential rebuilds (mostly BMW), they couldn't get the stub axles out of the diff.

No I keep them on the car. Once in a while I do a trackway.
I bought them because of what I once read about the "problem" of driving with slick tires.
Thought it was cheap insurance if things went wrong.
I've the toe link supports. But did use my car for road racing with slick tires.
It's very easy to bolt on yourself, just remove your rear tire and loosen 2 bolts and 1 nut.

Sadly the Viper got wrecked on a highway in Germany. I sold the car to a friend who's going to rebuild it.

Couple of weeks ago I had a trackday on the Nurburgring.
A friend made this video from inside his car.
He has been a marshall on the Ring, so he is very familiar withe the track, but his car is half the power of teh Viper. So I did not go full throttle in this vid...
Last monday I had a trackday at the Nurburgring. Lot of Porsche GT3's, Lotus, Merc SLS and even a McLaren MP4.

They told me that you need about 10 spray cans for a car.
So I thought, be wise and order 20.
For only 1 door I needed 6 cans...
So I bought 1 gallon and diluted it to 2 gallons.
It was just enough.
I had my Viper plastidipped last year in white. The red stripes were matte red, but just spray paint.
The lines of the car did look great in matte white, but up close was terrible.
Took me a week to remove the stuff...
It was fun, but I did make too much noise.
Had to install the dB killers.
It was the first time with the new 18" OZ wheels.
They have a different offset than OEM, so after 2 fast hotlaps, the car had a lot of oversteer.
Didn't had a low jack to adjust the suspension.
