Please unlock the ECU add turbos then some better rods/pistons and let us run with it. A twin turbo viper would sell like mad. Make it a retrofit "upgrade" for the non-turbo cars. I'm sure at 5psi of boost it would pass emissions and make an easy 800bhp (typical is 30rwhp/psi or 34bhp/psi)...
If you want to daily drive get a gen3 vert or coupe. Best bang for the buck and easy to drive. Put in nitto invino's and never worry about being in the rain again. They ride nice too with the soft sidewall.
You and I are both the customers SRT wanted for the Gen 5. I picked up a Gen2 GTS and sent it off for a TT build and I'm keeping the Gen4 (mostly stock) and daily driving it. AND I STILL SAVED MONEY OVER BUYING A NEW G5.
Did I want a G5 yes. But after driving it, it really wasn't all *that*...
People say the aftermarket doesn't help sell cars. The C7, Mustang and any Honda is all the proof you need that indeed approximately 33% of all Car sells are aftermarket driven. Even the Lamborghini G gets more aftermarket love than the Viper. They can get an entire billet big bore block...
Blue is not the new black. Black is the new black. It's 100% stupid to say such things. Blue can never be as sinister or evil as black. Nobody ever get tossed into a cold blue cell. Blue is the color of the sky. Blue is a cool, happy color. Smurf blue does not fit the Viper. But wait this...
Right but that's another 10k in mods
3000 headers
1000 exhaust
1000 mopar ecu
1500 ported I take mani
500 CAI
6.5k in mods for basic stuff. Make it 10k in parts if you want heads.
Twin Turbo with factory staged upgrades like they did with the SRT-4. I would trade in my Gen4 and pick up a Gen5 w/stage 3 and turbo toys ASAP. I'd like it pearl white.
This! The fact that you can go out and buy a new C7 and then drop it off at any number of tuners across the country and have it tweaked and tuned to your likening is awesome.
Stock sucks, always does, why...because its not made 100% custom to your likening. I wish I could get a heads/cam...
