1993 Gen1, anti-theft system, key fob sync fail

Greetings from Melbourne (Australia) in the name of the Viper. I've been stuck now for about 2 months, since I changed the DL2016 batteries in the key fob of my Feb 1993 (rear antenna model) Gen1 Viper. I have been unable to start the car due the the immobiliser shutting off power to fuel pump...
