Ask him which plant - if he says CAAP - or where they build them, then you know he's lying.... No Vipers are painted at CAAP - all body panels come in prepainted from a company called ASC.

In general, the days of "I know someone at the plant" one off special requests are over. The VCA gets special cars only through close interaction with Dodge. One offs are too costly for the "average person"....

Let us know what he says....

THERE WERE NO RT/10's PRODUCED IN 2000 WITH STRIPES!

on the other hand, GTS's .... YES!

or '96 RT/10's in Black with sliver tape stripes .... YES!

Clarification.

There were no factory paint jobs, but I did know of 3-4 cars that were done with careful attention to making the stripes to factory width etc. The one Kyle has was one of the nicest paint jobs I have ever seen ( no we didn't do it, but we would have been proud to take credit ) and there are no edges to the stripes. The car really is a looker, and there are very few done this way.

interesting factoid, factory stripes on rt/10's came only in 1996 - white with thin blue stripes, black with thin silver stripes and 1997 blue with regular white stripes.
