10.80s on the last hot ****** day of the year

Went out to Orlando Speedworld with Macedo and some of the F-body guys last night. Boy it was hot 85-87 F with dripping humidty must have been 95%. My clutch is taking a dump, so I couldn't heat the tires up or launch hard, but I got into the 10.80s with 1.60-1.62 sixty foots. Trapped around 129-130 mph. the guy next to me with the pick-up with no bed and a nitrous tank strapped to the fuel tank said, "well that trap speed doesn't do anything for you if I can runs 9s at 102 mph." I said can you run in the 9s ay 102 mph? He said "well no" Then I told him lets run, then lets go out on the highway and run from 100 mph to 180 mph. That was it, he turned and walked off mad. I don't know if you guys get this at your tracks, but I hear it a lot here in Orlando. Anyway, it was a good night.

should be mid 60's and low humidity here this weekend. Very nice conditions compared to what you just ran in.

This weekend it will be in the upper 40s and low 50s here, but I had a chance to race last night in the heat, its better than no racing in the cool air.
