Geez, that Viper doesnt fish tail or wheel hop or really spin that much in first or second gear. I must be doing something terribly wrong b/c I fish tail and lately have been wheel hopping like crazy. I hope its due to the cold road conditions up here in CT. I break loose in first, second, and spin a little in 3rd. I can imagine w/ 30 deg temps up here I may be pushing an additional 10 hp maybe...but I cannot seem to get any kind of grip. Anyone else in northern states experiencing this situation? Or do I just **** as a driver??:dunno:

11.139 is killer ****ing times! I love my Gen 3....but the Gen 4 makes my mouth water. If Dodge would let Tator sell it to me I think I would get one asap!

Hey Guys,
That is my car and it is NOT stock. :nono:
Thanks for the kudo's anyway.

Launched at 3500 rpms. She stuck, bogged, and then took off!

It is a 2008 with 3.33 gears, complete unitrax Quaife rear end set up, and A6 Hoosiers.
Everything else is just like I got her. I drag race this car and she can be driven harder and WILL get a better time. Many of us that drag race end up tearing things up trying to launch VERY hard with the 3.07 gears. I don't want to get stranded at some track with broken axles or rear end and have that potentially ruin a great day of racing. Been there, done that and its not fun. :(

Complete Belanger set up is going on later this week so I will advise how that helps as soon as I can.

On a side note, the Autoform roll bar and five point harness is going in next week. Then its off to the races again. :D

Ya'll have a GREAT DAY!!

God Bless,
Keith

We all know Jamie is going to pounce on this! He and as few other Z06 drivers have gotten into the 10's w/ stock Z06 Vettes. Very very rare, but since the Vette is lighter and has better gearing for the 1/4 mile, it can be done. But only by a few professional drivers out of the thousands of Z's out there.

I think that many Gen 4 drivers will be flirting w/ the low 11's bone stock and mid tens w/ better gearing and headers.

No kidding considering that C6Z06 owners have to have headers, intake, ported TBs, and a tune in order to get 11.4s.

Thats simply not true. Quite a few have gotten those kind of times[11.1-11.4's] bonestock down to runflats and filters from a Z06. Ive got no dog in this fight and like both cars but an 08 Viperwith gears and hoosiers should be easily in the 10's as the owner of this particular Viper has already said. Sure he will get there next time out. The Z06's that have gotten into the 10's bonestock from what Ive seen have been at optimal elevation and great tracks. I would imagine an 08 at that track would easily do 10s bonestock as well. No denying the Z06 performance no matter how bias some may be but I believe the 08 Viper has it beat on longer than 1/4 runs. Z06's lighter weight and better gearing just makes it et a little better "so far" stock to stock in the 1/4. Highway it should be a Viper walk especially after seeing what a bonestock 08 Viper did to a lightly modded but tuned Z06 on the highway.
