Pull up and out on the seat bottom cushion and it will come out. Then look at the tracks and you will see the bolts that hold it down to the floor. Remove those bolts and the seat will lift out of the car. I can't remember exactly how to get the back cushion off of the seat frame but I think if you look at it you will figure it out. That's all I can tell you.

I know how to get the pads off but I don't recommend it. I had to drive 10 miles to get home after I did this and I almost had to pull over because my back hurt so bad! It is a pain in the @ss! Someone on the board told me how to do it but I don't remember who.

The bottom seat pad: There's a latch underneath the seat. When you sit down, reach your hand down inbetween your legs(no, this is not a Van Halen song) and there's a metal latch there. You must unlatch it, probably a screwdriver would make it alot easier. Once unlatched, push the seat forward and up.

The back pad: You must notch a V shape into a straight screwdriver. The back pad has a metal frame that goes around the sides and top of it. The plastic back seat frame has metal fasteners on it. There are two fasteners on each side of a seat and one fastener on the top of a seat. Now, push the seat pad on the side of the seat inward so you can see the fasteners and metal frame. Use the screwdriver to push the metal frame towards the middle of the seat to pop it out of the fastener. You must do this to all five fasteners on a seat.

You could probably push in some masking paper around the back cushion to keep it from being painted. It might be easier than removing it.
