I'm not sure I understand your question. I have Borla mufflers on my '94, with factory cats. Isn't that a cat back system?

The sound is clearly louder than stock, but not so offensive that my wife won't ride it it.

Would not mind doing the same but I don't think I can justify $1000.00 for two mufflers. Anyone with any less expensive alternatives 94 model

Thanks, Don. The installation I'm talking about is mufflers only. No pipes. Cat-back is everything from the calalytic converters back. Pipes, mufflers, etc.

Would the Dynomax make the car really loud? Anybody compare it to the Borla's. $506.00 for two and free shipping? If so that is cheapest I've ever heard for "Borla Viper". I will defiantly check that out but if Dynomax sounds close or better that is the real deal.

Mr. Venom,

I think we're talking semantics here. On our models ('92 through '95) there is essentially no pipe behind the muffler; only a curved outlet.

One thing I've learned from this discussion is that the Borla's are high dollar mufflers. The original owner of my car had them installed so I was totally unaware of the expense involved in their purchase and installation.

Regards.....

Don

if you are leaving youre cats in place dynomax will sound great,if not on the gen ones very loud without quality, if you go with borla with cats,in my opinion dont waist youre money other than higher RPM wont make that much of a difference,if you like a little more aggressive go with dynomax 16",will sound great with cats,we have installed countless systems and prefer the bullets, every Viper that leaves here with them on love them,we give the option if it is to loud or customer not happy with sound we change them out free of charge,i think we did it once, wife made him,6 months later wife left, bullets back,i hope this helps.....Scott

I have Belanger 3" straight thru mufflers behind stock cats on my 94. Loud but not too loud for me, an old guy. It will set off car alarms while driving thru parking lots. I got the Belangers from parts rack. I think the Dynomax would be just as good. The Belangers were very expensive for what you get, $500. Get the Dynomax.

We just put the 16 1/2 Bullets on Glen's 2002 Graphite RT/10...pretty loud...upon further review, we may order up the 23 1/2" Bullets...calm things down a bit...I can email you a wav file tonight of how Glen's sounds with just the Bullets and straight pipes...no cats..."H" pipe in the back...keep in mind Glen's is a rear exit exhaust...Sounds incredible, IMHO!

Dynomax 16 1/2" Long... 3"Inlet/Outlet ...4" Diameter Bullet Race Muffler (Summit = $35.95 each)

Dynomax 23 1/2" Long...3"Inlet/Outlet...4" Diameter Bullet Race Muffler (Summit = $36.95 each)
