Blue w/ white stripes $15,000 miles. Asking $50,000. Perfect shape. Im having the car checked out. I did notice a clicking noise under the car when the clutch is disengaged. When I push in the clutch it goes away. Throwout bearing?? Thanks!

That clicking sound is probably NGR (neutral gear rattle). My old 97 did it. My 00 did not (for more info, research the msg boards on the new cam).

Any mods on the 97?

I personally would spend $5K more and get the guys 98 GTS above. I don't like the sound of that clicking noise & a 98' for 55K is really good! 15,000 miles vs 4300 miles! I'd buy the latter all day long! Just my opinion.

The rattling is normal for the 96's and 97's and I have heard of later models having it as well. Their is a TSB on it but it harmless (just irratating). Definitely try and get it with an extended warranty or find one that does have a transferable extended warranty...

Seems fair, could be lower but not a bad price. If you want a blue/white then you have to get a 96 or 97 but the 98 above sounds like a good deal as well, if you like red. Also the clicking noise if normal if it goes away when the car is in gear.

If you can get one with the extended Warranty do it! Unless you plan to keep the car for a short period of time, it will be worth its weight in gold. Granted the Viper is a durable car, but it is still a car with expensive fixes (when necessary).
