I have not seen any posts on this but the VCA in the UK took part in an Airfield Trackday comprising a straight line runway timed course and a handling course.

Congratulations to the two Girls, Sarah Ball and Nadine the king of the Viper, both managed to achieve 174.3 miles per hour with *** going on to add another .5 for a fourth in class.

Winning car on the straight was a Nissan Skyline which the owner had spent $100,000 on the engine!
Biggest surprise must have been how well the Vipers did on the handling course, beating many four wheel drive, turbo computer driven vehicles used for Tarmac Rallying.
