Someone told me once, back in 1989 when I got my Corvette, to leave the paint un-waxed for a few months. They claimed it allowed the paint to cure more fully.

Hey, you know what? Why don't you contact the good people at Zaino? They probably are real hip on the chemistry of paints and clearcoats, and all.

Sounds VERY weird....

Even if paint was "soft"... why would it "memorize" its' original shape? If you put a nail indent in the paint, it should stay there!

We're talkin' rubber here! Doesn't sound right!

Please call me (732) 531-4600 (days)

The paint is baked after being applied in order to fully cure it. Any chance the panel was repainted sometime? Are all panels the same? At ASC they were all painted with different batches of paint at different times so bad paint all over is nearly impossible.
