Straight from Tremec-(TTC) themselves. Someone in the aftermarket would be foolish not to duplicaze these differences for sale if Dodge wont sell them to us!
<font color="red">You are correct; one of the changes made was that the countershaft is now
one piece for this model versus two piece on all others. The other change is
ratio. At this time, parts for the TUET1806 VGX viper transmission will only
be available through Chrysler dealerships. I do not see these parts being
available to our distributors for at least two years.

Details: Hello,
I was wondering if perhaps you would be able to tell me what specific
changes occured to the Tremec T-56 Transmission for the 2003 Model year as
opposed to the 2002 Model year? Specifically, for the Dodge Viper. I have
heard rumors of a one-peice countershaft, though no one is able to confirm
or deny this fact. Also, would these changed components be available for
purchse through you?
Thank you for you time.
