Absolutely Incredible!! I have entered all of VCA's raffles since I became member #412 in 1995. "Contrats! You have won! Please send an IRS check in the amount of $29,141.00 to cover the 28% the Imperial Federal Government demands before you get your prize worth $104,075.00."
I read all of your posts and just wanted to say "Thank You!" to VCA and all of the kind comments I have received to date. There is however, a down side to winning, and even having not yet seen this Viper (We missed VOI 8 due to health concerns)I am more than willing to take a loss in selling my 2003 in order to pay the Feds plus 6-6.5% Florida sales tax and the other Imperial Federal Government tax of $3,000.00 for "gas guzzling (?)" in order to be the proud owner of this one-off Viper. That gas guzzler tax is incredulous!!! I bought a brand new Viper (yellow) in 1995 and drove it over 95,000 miles before selling it to buy my new 2003.(Contrary to many past posts, I liked the new style!) In many miles of cruise driving at 80 MPH in 6th gear @ 1800 RPMs over much of the Country's Interstates I averaged up to 30 MPG in that '95! I hardly call that gas guzzling when my 2003 hemi truck averages 15 MPG with no gas guzzler surcharge!
A few trivia points about this raffle. There were only 1743 tickets sold in this raffle. (It pays to enter!!) I faxed my request for three tickets only a few hours before the deadline and only a few hours before we lost power again during the recent Florida "canes". I found out that I won the day after the drawing since no one was able to call my out-of-power home. The winning ticket was #1181 (I bought 1180, 1181, & 1182) and my home mailing address ,1811, is the reverse of the winning ticket!
I am hoping to take delivery before Christmas. I have two people bidding for my 2003 that I really did not want to sell but....I'm a 58-year old motor-head that can't resist!!
