As you may know from an earlier post, I was having difficulty with installing my brand new Team Tech racing harness. There were no instructions. I spoke to Jon at the parts rack who did quite a bit of work with Dodge to design the anchor points for the harness as standard with the car. Jon indicated that there were no instructions, due to the fact that I was blazing new territory as one of the first people to purchase the harness for the 03- SRT-10. They hadn't yet completed the instuction video.

Jon walked me through it and it was actually very easy.

That being said, here is how it is done.

1. Remove the plastic plate behind the seat. It Pops off. Near the front are two black peices of shiny tape. Underneath are two holes for the 1st two eye bolts. If you rub you fingers over the tape you will feel the indentation. screw the eyebolts in those holes.

2. The next two were a little tricker to find. To the left of the driver seat there is seat belt anchor. This is held in my a hex screw. Simply remove this screw and replace it with an eye bolt. (you may have to cut the carpet a tad.) The new bolt also holds the stock seatbelt.

3. The last one was by far the trickest. I looked far and wide, removed the seat, and pulled my hair out for a bit trying to figure out where the last bolt went. On the tunnel directly across from the seat belt mount. Approximately 2 inches behind the end of the seat tracks and about 3 inches above, you have to cut a hole in the carpeting. Make a small incision enough to get your finger through and wiggle it around until you feel a bolt. This bolt gets removed and replaced with the last eyebolt. The various belts simply clip on to the eyebolts and can be added and removed in just a few minutes.

The only issue is that the bolts prevent the seat from going all the way back. It only stops it about an inch short of the full travel so it is not a big deal and if it is, the bolts can be removed quite easily.

I hope this helps.....

Thanks Jon from Parts Rack.....

Any possibility of posting a pic of the finished product?

Is the installation such that you can just quickly snap the 6 pt for afternoon racing and leave the stock belt for daily driving? Do you remove the stock belt? Curious to know if I have to start convincing my wife that she will need to 6 pt in if she wants to go for a ride. Thanks,

Dave

Once you have the eyebolts in, you can add or remove the harness in like 2 minutes... The stock seatbelt is never removed.
