96 RT/10 For Sale

I picked up my new SRT last night and will be selling my 96 RT/10. Plenty of pics in the gallery section of the site.

Skinny:

Has A/C and motor is stock with muffler delete. 35k miles. Upgraded stereo components and some interior goodies. Added silver vinyl stripes. V-mania hardtop and windows. Very well maintained and no accidents or paintwork. Head gaskets and new tranny and clutch were all done within the last 1000 miles. New tires, EBC Green brakes, hoses, belts, sensors etc. Comes with 3+ years and 40k miles left on the extended DC Max Care Plus contract. Great car, but I doubt that I will be keeping both. I have it listed at $36k but I will take $34.5k.

Thanks for the great comments guys. I will truly miss my first Viper if it sells. After being a Vette guy for so long, this is the car that redifined conventional wisdom for me. I guess we all have had a similar experience along the way.

Just curious...when did they stop the side pipes on the RT/10? I like them a bit better with side pipes. If I got a car like this...can you convert it back very easily to side pipes?

96 was the first year for the rear exit exhaust. I don't believe a switch to be major surgery, but you will need new side sills.

I think that they made a few red cars in 96 that weren't ketchup/mustard combo. I put chrome badging to better mix with the stripes and wheels. The original badging on the car was red.

Jody, you should sell the car w/out any problems. I am sorry it did not work out with me as the sale of my Prowler fell thru with my buddy. Thanks for all the pics and emails etc. That is a lovely car and you are one heck of a person to deal with. A pleasure. If you ever stop by Orlando, look me up. We will get togther for a few beers.
On me, of course. I had to trade my Prowler in + cash to get an RT from TwinViper in NY. Best of luck to you.

Agreed, I think all red 96 RT/10's were the K/M cars.

Good luck on the sale. I did the stripes on this machine and have also had the pleasure of driving this from my house to the shop and back. For the price, it just cant be beat. This car would make a great addition to any new owner
