97 GTS won\'t idle W/AC on after I ran the batt. all the way down

I left a light on and ran my new batt. all the way down , now the car won't idle W/AC on , well it does most of the time but idles very low and the lights dim a bit , and stalls on every once in a while. Do I re-set the computer, buy another batt., or mess with the default set screws. It seems to need just a hair more to keep from stalling.

Might be a fuel pressure issue. If it only happens at start up after sitting several days thats likely it. If it's all the time your alternator may not be charging (or charging fully) the battery when there is a full load on the electrical system.

I wouldn't think a battery from a 97 would need replacing just because it lost it's charge. Possible - but not likely.

What does the AMP gauge read?

Might need a new battery but the computer needs to "re-learn" your diving habits. Sounds like you've already driven it and left it sit. Are you still having the problem?

your computer is relearning. I did the same thing, what a pain in the ass until the car even remembers how to idle..
I didnt' get a new battery. Eventually it will idle right. The 2nd day still it would even die at lights sometimes..

Amp guage shows that it is charging fine ,The batt. is only a couple of months old, I discharged it totally once, it stalls only with the AC on at idle, I guess that I should drive it some more and let the computer re-learn and see if that fixes the problem.
