on the 06 verts do you guys get alot of wind noise with the top up?im getting quite alot of wind noise and feel air comming in from the drivers side area?
anything to do to upgrade so it doesnt follow the crown of the road so aggresively?is it normal at idle to hear the injectors or lifters quite noisey.so far got 700 miles on the car in 1 week and its so much fun just wanted to know if you all exprience the same thing.
thanks

sorry didnt see the with top up. make sure the window is indexing up or the vent control isnt in the closed position.if all fails turn the ac up and that wiil cover any sound or draft. you can control airflow into the cabin using the sun visors, great for cooling your lap off as well. and can also cause a little wind noise till you find there happy place. 1. It sounds like the window may not be indexing corectly into the channel. There is a tab which should be outside the window when it is in the UP position. The tab is located about 3-4 inches to the rear of the windshield in the window channel. This tab serves to hold the window securely to eliminate wind noise.

2. As I got more miles on my car, the tires seem to have less of a tendency to follow flaws in the road surface. However, they are still not good on rough or broken up surfaces.

3. The noise at idle is most probably the injectors firing. They sound alot like an old solid lifter cam.

Well, I have been getting to know my 03 vert, and I have experienced most of what you are talking about, especially the full time heat, when going through city traffic. My heat seems to be originating in and around the footwell, sidesill, and tranny well. The hotter the car gets the hotter you get. I just put both windows down n drive.

The design of the car (huge engine located far back, side pipes and the exhaust cross-over) means a lot of heat will find it's way into the cabin. An after market exhast system will reduce this, but not get rid of it entirely. There are some insulation kits available that can reduce the cabin heat at least 80% if the cabin heat really bothers you.

Personally, I just run the air conditioning. Doesn't seem to **** up any noticeable amout of hp.

Running the A/C when you drive with the top down is the way I deal with the heat. No question, it is hotter in the cockpit than my 96 GTS.
