My 95 RT-10s hood was repainted a year ago at NorthGlen Dodge in Colorado. It was repainted because of cracks on the hood in the front, typical cracking near hood hinges. I have the paperwork from the previous owner showing that it was painted and it shows it was covered under warranty.
I just bought the car about 6 months ago no cracks, but now they are back. I did pay $50 to have the remaining time (till May 2002) on the service contract transfered over to me.
My question mainly is do I have any leverage to get the hood repainted again since it was done once under warranty and has clear coat runs in the front edge where it meets the front fascia?
Also anything I can do to keep it from happening again or getting worse. I have read the numerous posts about closing it where the hood meets the hinges and have been doing it that way. I was talking to the local Viper Tech and he said they close them in the very front corners.

Thanks,
Ed

Ed--bad news I'm afraid..and really hope I am wrong. DCX's past performance shows that once they have paid to repair a panel...that's it, they won;t pay any more. I guess they figure that if it is fixed once, their responsibility it over. Good luck.
