I recently read about owners of Corsa exhaust using metal polish to brighten up the finish. I am curious if I can use any kind of polish or is there a special kind to use. There are also some black "soot" spots on the tips, what is the best way to clean those off. BTW I assume the 97 GTS wheels have a clear coat on them. What is the best way to clean and polish them Thanks

Best way to clean the wheels is to wash them (soft cloth, 100% cotton, etc.), but a small size Calif Duster will work if you don't want to wash them after every trip. DO NOT use polish on your wheels if there is a clear coat. Used often enough, you won't have a clear coat.
