I was taking care of some warranty issues today, and ask the dealer about the seat belt recall on the ACR's. They said they did not know anything about it. So, I pulled out the NHTSA recall info. Now they are checking into it. Have any of you guys had yours replaced????

Tony,

My car had the new belts already installed when I bought it in Dec. I'm not real happy with the quality, webbing seems lighter than I'm used to and they certainly won't hold a cinch-down like some other belts.

I'm going to use them for real at Laguna for my car's track inauguration on the 15th. But my guess is I'll end up ordering something different.

BlackACR,
Tell your Dealer to order Part #5029216AA you'll need two sets. They are the new RJS 5-point belts and your Dealer can do them under the normal Warranty for you!! I have dun many of them already.
If your Dealer looks at you like you have a third eye or gives you a hard time about it, you give me a call and I'll get them for you and send them to for FREE!! OR tell that Dealer to give me a call and I'll explain life to them!

I now have a D-C letterhead letter, explaining their policy to reimburse owners who have the harnesses replaced themselves.

Take CHUCK'S good advice if you want RJS replacements for your Momo's. Or.........

Commercial--
.... you may also call me for replacement TeamTechs in 5 or 6 pt, 7 color choices, and free arm restraints. "The same as the Viper Comp Coupe"

The ultimate irony? Someone is SOAKING somebody for these RJS harnesses! The replacement harness has a MSRP of $1275 EACH !

Breed Indus/MOMO is probably eating this cost......plus labor. Whereas the TeamTech is about 1/4 the cost and a MUCH better system !
