Adams vs Zaino whats better

I've used only Zaino products on my viper, but recent talk about Adam,s free offer and looking at their website/products,,.

Whats better, it looks like Adams is better in terms of price. but in terms of product quality, shine, chemicals used for those who want to take it a step further.

Let the comparisons begin.

I'll say what a lot of guys are going to say:

Go to the Autopia Detailing Website and comparison shop for yourself. There are thousand of threads there comparing hundreds of products. Limiting yourself to the bias of a few dozen Viper owners won't help all that much.

The guys at Autopia.org know what they are talking about. I did a search on Adam's products there a few days ago and did not get many hits actually.

Personally: I've used Zaino for several years. The posts I was reading on "poor durability and collecting dust" are not typical ones you read about concerning Zaino. The reason for using Zaino is typically the opposite of those comments. As for P21S...unless they changed the formula, it was a Carnauba based wax, which are known for their poor durability, which is sacrificed for its amazing deep gloss enhancing appearance.

Although Crom feels this thread/ Forum is not going to accomplish anything, I will respond to SuperSaiks. I have used both, along with Mothers, Zymol, Meguiars, and few less popular brands,and I feel Adams is the best for a few reasons...
1. The butter wax is the EASIST wax to apply and remove, with no orange peel aftermath. The shine it leaves is as good as you are really going to get. I do NOT feel it has the same effect on a vehicle of less than a beautiful finish. I have used it on my Range Rover and it came out good, but not amazing. You add the Detail spray which is equally as simple to use, and you have a car looking better than showroom.
2. Price, obviously Adams is a better price, i would not mind paying the difference for Zaino if it actually provided something for that money.
3. The shine has lasted atleast as long as the Zaino products..

I have never tried Zaino so I can't compare but I have to wear sunglasses to look at my car after I put Adams on it because of the awesome shine. I don't think the shine could get any brighter.

Zaino is definitely better in my opinion. Z gives me a clearer crisper look especially on my black cars and the durability is much much better. They have also come out with a few really awesome new products recently like Z-AIO which is a one step cleaner type product that leave protection and cleans your finish in one step and IMHO one of the coolest new products that hit the market recently their Clear Seal which is a sealant that you can wipe on and walk away, no buffing at all.

Adams is your average professional detailers type of products but like most carnuaba based products lacks in durability.

I just went to autopia.org and read the reviews and I will stick to using Zaino as it seems it has way better durablility, along with other issues with Adams that were mentioned that I would not want to put on my car.

I did not say I felt this discussion would not accomplish anything. I merely believe that SuperSaiks would benefit more from information posted by hundreds of individuals that really do know there stuff. Many guys on Autopia.org detail for a living. Autopia.org is THE BEST resource for this type of information. Granted, there are many folks on this site that are top notch detailers.

I personally like ZAINO. But after what I do in a detail job, even some of the cheap waxes look great. It's the preparation that truly gives your car a great look, not the type of wax or sealant you use. A high quality wax/sealant that is durable is ICING ON THE CAKE. If you really want to get some great results you need to perform a nice detail; wash/clay/wash/polish/sealant-wax every 4-6 months followed with a monthly wash/sealant-wax.

It seems that every year I try something different and this year's turn may be Adams. Used Zaino 2 years ago and while I thought it was very good, I felt it could have been easier to use and it did not seem all that much better than the locally available products. Last year I used Pinnacle and was immediately impressed on how easy it went on and how it looked on my red Viper. As far as longevity, I find washing/waxing/detailing my Viper good for my mental health and so i cant really comment. That being said - I received a TON of comments from people about how good my "brand new" 1993 Viper looked. To me the color difference between Pinnacle and Zaino was night and day with Pinnacle providing the deepest of deep red color.

I have used most everything form Pinnacle to Eagle 1. I think Zaino's Z-2 pro gives the longest durability. I like Adams Detail spray and have their undercarriage spray sample ordered. Also Zaino's leather in a bottle leaves a great smell.

They all give a great shine, Adam's smells awsome and it's like so darn easy to wipe off! Because of that I find myself polishing my car MORE because I know I can do the entire car in 20 min. I also like the Adam's detail spray, I can use it on the hottest of days and it still works, a lot of the sprays you can't in the direct sunlight at a car show. The car wash is unbelievable, I JUST got the car all lathered up and a friend came by...I talked for a bit and I was thinking omg, my vette is gonna have dried soap all over it...NOPE. Washed right off.

I have a good pic of my Z06, need to take one of my Viper after Adams wash/polish... I will post, because it's black you can see how good it does, don't beat me up for posting it hahaa!

CROM thanks for the link to the autopio website.. Like I said I will stick to using Zaino.. I currently have probably over 40 layers of Zaino, between Z5 Z2 and Z6.

I remember when I finally got my Viper delivered to me I spent over 10 hours detailing the outside of the car alone in the garage (winter/Canada) and when I finally pulled it out in the Spring spent another 4 hours.

Did the whole Zaino treament wash/clay/car wash/ etc etc. I no longer wash my Viper with water just dust off and reapply another quick spray of Z6. The car is spotless.

I wish I knew how to upload a pic of my viper.

Adams has supported the Southern California ViperClub on many levels.

Zaino has almost a religious following, and their products are legendary. Lots of steps and preparation is necessary with their systems, but the results are spectacular. Best used for cars that are driven seldom, and shown often.

Adams, on the other hand, also can produce quite the end result, but it usually takes lots less work. (smells good too).

Nobody mentioned Meguiars, but they also support us car crazy guys, and have perhaps the largest line of car care products in the world.

I believe Mike at Meguiars said it best. The best product is the one you will use. Wax on a shelf is useless.

Many people follow the forums and are constantly buying the hottest products, only to have them accumulate in their shelves (you know who you are).

Nothing is quite as satisfying as to spend a cloudy Saturday rubbing on your favorite car.
