Just as an FYI, my local Dodge dealer received this from Dodge today:

-------------------------------------------------------------

Dealer Service Instructions for:
Safety Recall No. C27 - Fuel Pump Wiring

Models

2003 (ZB) Dodge Viper

NOTE: This recall applies only to the above vehicles built from
August 28, 2002 through September 18, 2002 (MDH 082807 through
091811).

Subject

The fuel pump wiring harness on 69 of the above vehicles may
become chafed by the fuel tank heat shield. This could cause the
engine to stall which can result in an accident without warning.

Repair

A protective covering must be installed on the fuel pump wiring
harness and the edge of the heat shield hole must be covered.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

You may want to note that these are VERY early cars and probably went to VIP's, etc. Only 69 actual cars are affected. If you are not familiar with MDH (Month Day Hour of production), the code is located on your driver's door edge on the lower left corner of the Manufacturer sticker. It starts with "MDH". The cars in question then start with numbers between, and including, 0828 and 0918 - built between August 28th and September 18th. If you have one of these cars, contact your local Dodge dealer to schedule the simple fix. Good luck!

Chris, what other recalls do you know about for the SRT? I have not had any recall notices - yet.

The first was the valve issue. Chances are excellent that like me, you do not have a car that was affected by either of these two recalls. Enjoy!

Chris,

Your posts are always appreciated. Have you had any trouble with your lights on the car? I had a complete failure this weekend and it was damn scary. I hope that the "fix" happens quickly. I will not drive my car at night under any circumstances.

Never had a problem with them at all. Drive at night fairly often and they are fine. I wonder if it could be some sort of "overheating"? Keep us posted on what transpires!

My first Viper had an intermittent turn signal problem. Turned out to be a bad solder on the switch. Temperature variation would cause it to expand/contract and fail. Just a thought. PVO sure is slow (and careful I guess) to come up with fixes. Heat-4 months, valves-3 months, bog-9 months (and counting), lights???? I would hate to hear about a nighttime crash....The lawyers will be like the Klump family at a Las Vegas buffet.
