Ive seen multitudes of stereo topics and endless replies and opinions, one thing ive noted is NO-ONE has opted to fut a sub under a seat (8" JL for example) why? has anyone tried this with any success? its done rather often in trucks and sounds excellent, plenty of airspc and multidirectional flow, etc.

There is probably 5 or 6 inches of clearance from the floor to bottom of seat. I did mange to fit my Alpine amp under the drivers seat and it is 2.5 inches high.
You probably could do something, but the magnet of any good sized sub will be either up against the floor or the front of the sub will be flush to the floor.
Might be limited by space and affect the seat travel while adjusting the seat.
I really liked the idea I saw in a thread from Leaf001 where they had a new back panel molded to house the larger sub.

As I understood it when explained to me, there wasn't enough room underneath for the box. I was told that if I went over a bump too fast or anything, I'd have problems.
