I'm ready to upgrade my stereo by adding amplifier/s in my 2003 vert. I already changed head unit and door speakers. Can someone that has done this me how to route the wires from the cabin to the trunk.I'd appreciate some help.
Thanks,
Sal

If I werre gonna replace the factory amp, I would buy a small 5 channel like an alpine PDX5 or similar, then install it under the passenger seat, where the stock one is.
Then the only wiring you need to run is upgraded power, as the factory power wire to the amp leaves something to be desired.

I thought of that but was wanting to use some of the equipment I have lying around but I may have to do as you suggest.

Bingo. I ran a JL 500/5 in mine, but ran the little PDX in my Jeep. Good power in such a tiny little amp.

I may go with a single amp under the seat for ease of installation. I have some nice JL amps I wanted to use instead of buying a new 5 channel. I may put it on the lift tonight and look a little harder at possible routing. I'm sure there's a way.

Hey Tucker haven't heard from your step child 'Danger' in a day or two. Wonder if the new wires and plugs corrected the problem.

I can call Custom Sounds and ask then where they routed it if you need me to. I don't have a vert right now, so I can't look at it to tell you.

Hey Tucker,
Didn't get a chance to put it on the lift as I'm covering some parts in carbon fiber tonight. I'll check it tomorrow before imposing on you to call them.

Thanks for the input.
Cheers,
Sal
