The car was bought new late May 2002 and is about 3 months old. It has 27xx miles on it today. Right mirror has some minor scratches that could be rubbed out. Both right rims have curb rash--(maybe the left rear also don't remeber, but the front left was ok. Car was somewhat dirty. It rained here a few days ago and the car had been hosed off, not washed. Inside looked fine.

I'm considering bidding on it myself but won't get wrapped up in the frenzy of bidding like others may.

It is a 6 speed...typo in the add

Hmmm... I was just going to say that I would steer clear of any auction like this.

- the Seller has zero feedback.
- No information about car, including condition or reason for selling.
- No VIN (very important to me)
- I'm sure I've seen that photo before but can't be sure
- If you're selling a $60k car then $.75 extra in additional pictures shouldn't be that big of a deal.
- I've always heard "cobalt" used to describe blue, not graphite.

I'm not trying to step on another members auction, just trying to let you know what a savvy ebay buyer will look for in an auction.

I met with the seller and discussed his reasons for selling etc. I won't post publically but they seem reasonable. The car's Graphite. I may bid on it not sure. I suspect the car has been "driven" since it let the showroom. Not sure how important break in is to a Viper.

Very- time to use the search button.

Also, I can't imagine anyone buying the car 3 months ago for around $78k(invoice+tax+license), and then turning it around so cheaply. Smells like a rat to me. If the car was legit he could have simply sold it to a dealer for that cheap of a price!

I don't figured he paid that much for the car, probably about $73 plus tax which is only a small difference. The guy's got money so that's not an issue.

Used high end cars like the Viper are soft down here in San Diego. It's probably worth about $56-$58K as a trade down here.

As a dealer trade in......Private party obviously would command more and the dealer would mark it up $10-$12K or more
