What are you doing about fuel? When Sean installed my 8lb Roe system on my 99 GTS ( my former Viper), he told me that the voltage booster was good enough up to this point. At 10 lbs I believe something else is required. Also, what are you doing about tuning? Are you using a VEC III? Are you going to tune it yourself? Does the SCT work on the Gen IIs? I hope others who have installed a 10 lb setup jump in.

Just follow the instructions from Sean exactly. I can't think of anything that isn't in there.
It is worth it to remove the hood. Just do it, you'll thank me later.
Also go through your injector wiring harness. Clean it well and rewrap any exposed wires. Replace the injector clips.
Change out the thermostat for a 170 or 180 degree and replace the gasket. Its the best time to do this while you have the manifold off.

It may take longer than a weekend, definitely if this is your first time. I can do it in about 5hrs now, but I've had mine off and reinstalled 4 times.
If you are installing a VEC at the same time, add an additional half day.

I'll be around all weekend, you can PM me any questions and I should be able to get back to you quickly.

You must have W/M System for that boost...Hope you have 3 inch cat back with Hi flo cats and headers. You better know someone who can tune it properly or you will not be happy with your blower...ping ping ping detonate and so on...And dont forget to pin your crank and a boost and wideband gauge on your pillar...Al

Yes. I think I also recall that with W/M, the voltage booster could work above 8lbs but I am not sure. The problem with relying on W/M is that if there is a pump failure, there could be an engine failure. There is a thread somewhere about this and a discussion of the need for a warning light regarding whether the W/M is working properly. Fuel pressure and A/F gauges are also a good idea.

Bob, A 10 lb pulley and a boost a pump works fine with a W/M setup on a forged internal motor..That is my I am using now with 0 issues.....The warning light comes with the W/M kit...Dont forget about lower heat range spark plugs as well if you bought your Roe used...Al

thamks very much for the replies. ill try to answer all questions but i dont know how to do the quote thing. iv also got the vec 2 to install along with cards from roe for 93 and w/m, i also have the msd bap and roes w/m kit. other things is that i have belanger headers, no cats and corsa exhaust. i also ordered all new gaskets from roe and new plugs and new belt so i assume they sent me the proper plugs (any recomendation on plug gap). i hope that helps and any other advice is greatly apreciated.

My car maxed out the stock fuel pump with 8 pound pulley, boost a pump and water ****.

When I upgraded to the 10 pound pulley I had to move up to a Walbro 255 pump which is used in conjunction with the boost a pump and w/m.;)

Sean tuned mine recently and no problems with fuel pressure running the stock pump with a BAP, and I'm running the 10psi set up. Believe plug gap is .032.

It's possible to run without W/M. I ran my 10lb for a few years without it. As long as it's tuned properly you can get by without it.

One more thing. Make sure you check your blower oil every time you change your motor oil.

Great, sounds like you are all set and have thought this out very well. I'm sure you have talked to Sean a few time as well.

Who is going to tune it?

Sean's instructions are good, but if you're a complete novice, as I was, I made a blow by ******** journal with some pictures if you're interested. It clarifys some parts. I've shared it with many. You might find it helpful

Just wanted to do an update on the install. You all where right it took me about 3 1/2 days to getit done. All in all not to bad but would have been alot esier if I had ever taken the viper apart before. It was my first time even changiing the plugs myself. The hardest part I would say would be pinning the crank. Wow was that bolt hard to break loose and im not even sure if I got the pins in like I should have so Ill take it to a shop to g it either re pinned or pinned again just to be safe. Everything else was a simple read the directions and fallow and just go step by step. Very good directions no comlaints there. I havent got to drive te car yet but will this afternoon for the first time after I replace the oil sending unit that I somehow broke during the install. One question for the ones that use the msd boost a pump. Does the pump always run with the key on when using it? Just thought Id ask. Thanks again for all the help and the search feature on the site came into play more than once to help me.

Do you mean with the key in the "on" position and car is not running? It should run for only a 1/2 second to prime until the car is started.

Fuel pressure for stock is 55psi dropping to 50 at higher rpms.

Since I run an MSD and a Brembo pump as well, my pressure is a constant 60psi.

When I turn on the key the fuel pump makes the fuel pressure and then shuts down until after starting.

So if the key is in the ON position and the engine is not running, the pump does not stop priming?
mine takes about 3sec. to prime then it turns off if I don't start the car
